A/N
So, its been a while hasn't it. I am very sorry for not updating. But I'm back! I can't wait to restart up this story! I was originally going to add this to the previous chapter but I decided against it so this chapter leads on very closely from the other. READ AWAY MONKEYS X

My dearest Charlotte,
If for some unfathomable reason I am not able to be with you to say goodbye when you go to Hogwarts for the first time, I have written this letter to give you some guidance for all situations you may come across during your time there. I hope this helps you sweetie. I will always be with you my love. I love you,
Mum xx

When I looked at the letter, I saw that there was actually a mini notebook inside with different pages for different situations. The first page was titled 'Platform 9 3/4' I looked at the page and took in the information as much as possible:

Platform 9 3/4 is a difficult idea to grasp as it is not an actual platform at Kings Cross. When you have entered the station, head towards platform nine and ten. When you get there, look at the column between the two. See it? I need you to run through it.

Hang on... What? Had my mum been drinking some sort of crazy potion when she wrote this?! She wanted me to run. AT A SOLID BRICK WALL?! I read on confused.

Now, I know you must be thinking I was on some sort of drug or potion but its true. The passage to the platform is through that wall, I promise. You don't have to run but I suggest you do for the first few times. If you look around, you might see people leaning against the wall, and then disappearing. That's because they have done it before. Now, do as I say. Stand behind your trolley, facing the middle of the column. Now, run! You'll see the train. This is the end of this advice letter. Dont, I repeat DO NOT, read the others until you need to. I love you baby girl, you make me so proud.

The final part of the note made me choke up a tiny bit but I quickly regained my composure and lined my trolley up with the column. I closed my eyes and ran. When I didn't hit a brick wall, I opened one eye, slightly scared of what I would see. Instead of seeing anything bad, I saw the most beautiful, sleek red train. I stared in shock before being barged out of the way by a group of boys who obviously knew each other before term. One of the boys had browns scruffy hair and wore glasses, another had black hair that he obviously adored a little to much and the final boy, well he had his nose stuck in a book so I couldnt see much.

"Mind out the way! This is a train station, not a museum." The boy with glasses spat at me. The boy with black hair snickered and the boy with the book looked at me through sympathetic eyes. I groaned, I didn't want drama or sympathy. I pushed passed them and looked for an empty carriage.

It didn't take as long as expected because I arrived early. As soon as I found a carriage, I sat down on the plush leather seats. I pulled my muggle book, 'Romeo and Juliet' out of my bag and began reading it. My mum used to read me this book all the time because she wanted me to be cultured in muggle life as well as the wizarding world. It was my favourite. We would act out the lines with my dad as well. I got through about 10 pages before I was rudely interrupted by a certain three boys, except there were four of them. The latest addition to the entourage was a young boy with features that reminded me of a rat.

"Oh look, it's the museum girl!" The black haired boy said, "What the Merlin are you reading." He snatched my book out of my hands and laughed at the cover, "Romeo and Juliet, are you hoping for that to become your life? I certainly hope then ending is true for you" He threw my book at me and it hit my shoulder hard.

"Sirius, enough!" I heard the boy behind the book shout. "Stop, you have taken it to far."

"Remus mate? What are you doing? Why are you sticking up for filthy scum like her?!" The main boy, Sirius spat out the word her like it was some disease.

The boy with the book looked at the floor with shame, " I don't know. I'm sorry Sirius." Sirius looked at him with a smug expression, "Let's go find a different carriage." And with that they left. I sat in silence for a moment, rerunning through what just happened. Had I actually made an enemy already? Sirius seemed to have a massive problem with me. I went to pick up mg book and a sharp pain shot through my arm. I bit my lip in order to hold back a cry of pain. I slipped the shoulder of my top down to see what was causing the pain. I gasped when I saw the sight. There was a huge bruise forming from where the book hit me. I sighed and changed into my robes. This was going to be a very long year.
