Forgiven

 “Can I come in?” He asked, averting your eyes. Instead of answering, you stepped away from the door and made your way to the couch. The door shut behind you and he walked over to you. An awkward silence filled the room, until you spoke. “Why are you here?” you asked. He just sighed. “Look (y/n), I'm really sorry about slapping you. It was totally unacceptable of me.” he sighed again and turned away from you. “Can you forgive me?” he mumbled. You simply sat there, awe struck. This was NOT what you were expecting at all. Dark pit was… apologizing to you? you’d never seen this side of him before. “I’m sorry too” you said and bent your head down. “for what?” you heard him ask, clearly surprised. “I shouldn't have pushed you like that, I wont do it again, I promise” you responded, still looking at your feet. Suddenly, a hand was on the side of you face that forced you to look up.

Your eyes widened in shock when you saw how close his face was to yours. Only a few inches separated the two of you. You blushed and averted your eyes “(y/n)” you heard him say. “Look at me.” You slowly brought your eyes up to his, starring into the scarlet depths as he stared into your (e/c) ones. “You don't have to apologize, its my fault you got hurt,” he then gently brushed his thumb over your injured cheek, still a bit red from earlier. “Besides, I can’t stand the fact that I hurt you because…..I love you.” and with that, he closed the space between you, meeting his lips with yours. At first, you were shocked and didn't know if it was real. Then, you relaxed and melted into the kiss, wrapping your arms around his neck. He stiffened, showing his shock that you had returned his gesture, but embraced you not a second after, snaking his free arm around your waist, still keeping his other hand on your face. Finally, you both parted. “Dark pit, I love you too” You whispered.
