A/N: PLEASE READ! IMPORTANT!!
OK, so this is not a legit story. I had to write a short story about ions bonding for Chemistry so it's a romance, but it was also for school so it... sucks. I find it funny to read, though, so I figured I'd post it here. Enjoy and hopefully it makes you laugh •ᴥ•
------
One day, a negative chloride ion, also known as Cole, was strolling along when he caught sight of the most beautiful thing ever. It was a positive sodium ion. He had met many of them before, but never one this breathtaking. He knew then that he must meet this ion. Mustering his courage, Cole casually moved over to the ion and greeted her with a small 'hello'. The girl turned and smiled at him.
"Hi," she responded softly. "What's your name?"
"I'm Cole," he supplied, sticking out his hand for a shake.
"Sophie," she replied, accepting the handshake.
Sophie and Cole had an immediate chemistry, causing them to become fast friends. They spent the rest of the day getting to know each other. Once their time was at an end, the two made plans to meet up again in the future.
For months, the pair continued to have get-togethers almost every day. They couldn't really explain why they were so close, but it seemed like fate was at work. The two complimented each other in ways nobody could understand. If Cole was being negative about something, Sophie calmed him down, and vice versa. Basically, they evened each other out.
After three months of being friends, Cole decided it was time to pop the big question. He brought Sophie to the place where they met and asked her.
"Will you bond with me?" Sophie was overcome with happiness. She immediately said yes. Sophie quickly gave one of her electrons to Cole, causing them to become one. Due to this bond, they were now known as NaCl, or as like their friends preferred to call them, Salt.
Salt lived a happy life together, meeting even more NaCls, as well as adopting one. They called him Sal. The family lived together in the bag of salt at the diner. Luckily enough, their bag was hidden under the stove in the kitchen. They were never discovered and lived happily ever after.
