Gin and Gin

The sun poured through my window. Another day had dawned, bringing with it new hopes and aspirations.

I lazily grabbed the heart shaped clock on my bed side table and checked the time.

Shit! I can't believe I overslept, it's already 2pm and I need to go to BGC to meet Spade.

~Wake me up inside, wake me up inside, call my name and save me from the dark~

Speak of the devil. I picked up my phone and saw Spade's name on the screen. I'm doomed!

"Spade, yes. Sorry, we had a party last night. I got completely wasted. Yes, I'll be there right away. "

Dali-dali akong naligo at nag-ayos.
I have no time para pumili ng susuotin ko. So, I just picked up the black loose shirt and fitted jeans na nasa taas ng maleta ko.

I stormed out of the room and was walking down the stairs when I saw Tres drinking in our sala again.

"Seriously Tres?" Grabe talaga atay ng isang to.

"Where are you going?" He answered ignoring my remark. His brown hazelnut eyes looked at me intently.

"Secret b. Don't be jealous." I gave him a winked and kissed him on his cheeks. He looked away, took a sip of the brandy and his ears became red.

I love to tease him. I know how special I am for him. But I can never love this guy back.

I wonder where's Uno and Dos. I checked their room before I left the house but they aren't there.

I dialed Spade's number, "I'm on my way. Meet me at Starbucks in Highstreet."

It took me an hour to get to BGC, today is Sunday so the traffic isn't that bad.
I entered Starbucks, looked around and saw Spade sitting on table near the counter.

He is wearing a white v-neck shirt, black jeans and black chucks. Our eyes met and he called my name sounding very lively, "Gin!"

I run to his table and gave him a warm hug. "Spade! Grabe, how long has it been since we last saw each other?" Naeexcite na tanong ko sa kanya.

"Haha c'mon Gin it's just 1 year. Grabe ka maka-react ha. Hindi kaba nagsawa sa loob ng 8 years na magkasama tayo sa Gangnam?" Natatawang sagot niya.

Well, that's true. When I arrived in South Korea, I was alone for 1 year. I barely managed to live and I was completely lost.
I was on the verge on jumping off the cliff in Jeju Island when he grabbed me and weirdly asked, "Do you want ice cream?"

My eyes both widens and my mouth was left open and there he instantly put in the ice cream in my mouth.
Then he asked me a very strange question, "Why don't you sell your life to me instead of killing yourself?"

I can't believe what I heard that moment but I was desperate anyway so I went back to Gangnam with him.

Days passed by and I realize he did it to save me without any bad intentions. I learned to trust him and shared my story.

When he heard about it, that's when he started training me and gave me an idea to return in the Philippines to make those people pay for what they did to my family.

He went back to the Philippines a year before me. One year of being apart feels like forever because I was so used to having him around.

And now that he's here sitting in front of me, I can't keep my emotions.

"Psh, nagsawa na no. Binibiro lang kita. Kaya nga ako nalate kase ayaw ko ng makita ka." Pabiro kong sagot sa kanya.

Musika sa pandinig ko ang mga halakhak nya. Being with him makes me feel safe. May kakaibang familiarity ang kanyang presensya, "Sus, but what did you do to your hair?"

I touched my hair and smiled at him awkwardly, "Pangit ba? I just wanna try it cause they say when I woman cut her hair short it means she's about to change her life on a different level. Tsaka para fierce." Then I rolled my eyes at him acting like a spoiled baby girl.

Main reason why I cut my hair short is because it's Summer here in the Philippines. Sobrang init! Plus I wanna change my image. I wanna create a strong aura.

He reached for my hands and his deep blue eyes looked at me intently, he stopped laughing.
His playful reaction was replaced by serious face and with his deep voice he said, "I missed you partner."

But what he said next made my heart raced,

"First move will start tommorrow at I'M Hotel in Makati. Be there, 10 pm sharp."
