They both stiffen when they hear the familiar sound of Eunhee's voice, Taehyung's eyes immediately flickering to his girlfriend who's currently standing right in front of them.
"He was finding you," Taehyung takes a step closer to the young woman and away from Jeongguk, "you found your purse?"
"Ah," Eunhee then smiles at his brother before looking at Taehyung. "Yeah, I found it. My mom texted me though, I need to go home now."
"I can drive you home," Jeongguk offers despite the small hint of disinterest seeping through his tone.
"Is it okay?" She asks. "Jimin-ssi got Taehyung's car and I promised Tae a ride home as well. If that's okay?"
"Yeah, it's fine. Mom told me to drive you home anyway," Jeongguk says and Taehyung can sense the lie between his teeth, "I can take him home too."
"Thank God," Eunhee visibly deflates in relief. "Tae, would you want to go home right now or...?"
"Yeah, Jimin's not here anymore and Hoseok's nowhere to be found so..." He shrugs, ignoring the other male's heated stare.
How Hoseok manages to get home even if Jimin and Taehyung left him most of the time is something Taehyung doesn't want to know about.
"Let's go then," Jeongguk calls, leading the way out of the bar.
It takes them less than two minutes to get out of the place to where Jeongguk's car is parked and less than a minute for them to get in before Jeongguk is speeding away from the club, leaving everyone else behind.
Eunhee was sitting on the passenger seat while Taehyung sat in the back, obviously, and it was relatively quiet with only a track playing from the speakers of his car softly. Taehyung checks his wristwatch to see that it's almost twelve in the morning and that's why only a few cars were driving down the main road. The street lights continuously change every thirty seconds and yet there are still people out and about in the streets.
Back to the cars that were practically non-existent, Jeongguk drives smoothly—not stopping once since the stoplights they passed by were always displaying green—and it doesn't take them less than ten minutes to reach Eunhee and Jeongguk's house.
"Are you going to come home tonight after bringing Tae home or are you going to stay in your apartment?" Eunhee asks before going down to which Jeongguk just shakes his head at while displaying a teasing smile.
"No, I'll go back to the club most probably and I'm going to be staying at my apartment instead," Jeongguk says in nonchalance, his fingers slightly drumming against the steering wheel.
That's a direct translation of I'm going to get laid tonight and I wouldn't want to bother anyone with our noises. And Eunhee's not too naïve, she knows.
"Oh," the brunette says, awkwardly, as the dead air passes by for almost five seconds. "Uhm, okay. I'll tell mom. Don't drive home too drunk though."
Jeongguk clicks his tongue. "Thanks, Eunhee-ah. I won't."
She goes out of the car the same time Taehyung does and Eunhee only gives her a quizzical look. "Why'd you go down?"
"What?" Taehyung asks, eyebrows raised. "Oh, I was just going to say... goodbye."
Eunhee's confused look morphs into a delighted one as she opens her arms widely. "Mhm, good night then. I'll see you the day after tomorrow?"
Taehyung only hums, hugging her shortly, extremely aware of the engine behind them. "I'll go."
"Don't annoy my brother too much."
"I won't. Good night."
He gives a small wave and being the good boyfriend he is, he waits until Eunhee gets in the house before getting inside the passenger seat and slamming the door shut. Before he knew it, Jeongguk's foot was pressing down on the pedals and speeding off and away from the house.
