It was a bright Monday morning. The birds were singing and the flowers were blooming. Sunshine leaked through the blinds into Ralphen's small, plain room. Ralphen's eyes fluttered open as he stumbled out of bed and got ready for school. He slipped on his red polyester sweater over his white collared shirt. He tugged on his american eagle jeans and headed out the door. Ralphen unpacked his belongings and headed into the classroom. He went to his seat and started organizing and getting his books ready for the first period. He looked to his left to see his blonde headed homeroom pal, Kevin.
"Hey dude wassup?" Kevin asked while reaching over to pat his friend on the back.
"Oh, er... nothing much, how about you?" Ralphen mumbled a bit tired leaning back in his chair.
"I'm chillin',"Kevin responded.
"Oh, Ralph, don't you got that club meetin' later?" Kevin added.
Ralphen cringed a bit.
"Oh don't remind me," Ralphen sighed. Ralphen was in the builder's club. The club is basically just a group of 7 people who want to participate for fundrasiers and just ways and ideas to help the community and the school itself. Ralphen grumbled and rested his head on the desk. Ralphen jumped up, almost falling out of the seat, when someone slammed open the door of the homeroom. He looked up and saw his fellow builder's club member, Makisha.
"jesus christ," Ralphen mumbled under his breathe.
Makisha rushed into the classroom with a big binder scattered with different papers, probably for the meeting later today.
"Sorry Mr.Demo!" the girls with baggy sleeves said frantically. She waddled p
over to the seat she was assigned to, which was inconveniently next to Ralphen. She slammed her books onto her desk which made the red sweater wearing boy jump for a second time. Ralphen glared at her as she took her seat. She soon noticed and glared back before she took one of her lighter folders and used it as a divider as if she were taking a test, blocking the glares between the two builder's club members. Ralphen rolled his eyes and laid his head between his arms on his desk again. The bell rung and students started to flood the hallways as everyone went to their designated classrooms. The first two periods went by pretty quick but then Ralphen's mood dropped as he realized he would have to be in the same class as that idiot. Ralphen walked into class and rested his books on his desk.
Ralphen's POV:
Class soon started and we were assigned to work on a simple worksheet. tried focusing on the worksheet but all I could hear was Makisha, who sat infront of me, quietly cursing at her math paper. Five minutes have gone by, and I swear to god im going to bloody snap if I hear her swear at a easy math problem one more time. I'm so tired of this trash. I got out of my seat and walked over to this imbisol. I tapped her on the shoulder and she jumped before and settled down realizing it was me.
"Oh, its you," Makisha said obviously annoyed.
"look, sweetheart, you aren't the nicest person either," I responded with a slight smirk.
She huffed and crossed her arms.
"What do you want?" she grumbled, barley audible.
I grabbed a chair and pulled it over her table to where she was sitting. She looked a bit shocked and confused but I could care less. I dragged her worksheet a bit closer to me but in distance to where she can still see it and write in it. I glace over to her and start writing on the worksheet while explaining the simple math to her.
"Your doing the problem out of order. After you multiply, you do subtraction, then you add. You added before you subtracted dum dum."
Miksha retorted,"But in PEMDAS addition becomes before subtraction!"
I sighed before looking down at her
"M-Mikisha... no... your an idiot, it goes from left to right after the multiplication," I explained. Her eyes lit up in relization.
"OOOoOOoOOHhhHhHH" she said.
That respect didn't last long though because she must've remembered she hated me, since she shooed me back to my seat soon after. Periods 5 and 6 fly as fast as periods 1 and 2 did. The lunch bell rang as students rushed to their lockers to head down the cafeteria. Today was going pretty well so far.
