Ralphen's POV:
MAKISHA!? OH MY GOD. I can't even start a conversation with her. We hate each other! How the hell am I going to bake and sell food with her? Dear God...I can't even bake. Why did WE have to get paired up together?

Makisha's POV:
This is terrible. I can't stand him! I need an excuse to get out of this. Mr. Demo asked, "Are there any comments or questions?" "No, Mr. Demo." Everyone else said. I raised my hand. "Mr. Demo. My parents want me to be home soon. I don't have time for this right now, I'm sorry. It's family business." Mr. Demo sat on the edge of his desk, looking confused. After a solid minute of silence, he spoke up. "Ok." He said. OH. MY. GOSH. Did it actually work? Yay Something finally went my- "But," Mr. Demo spoke up, "You said you didn't have time for this 'right now' meaning you have plenty of time later. Ralphen, do you have any plans tonight?"

Ralphen's POV:
Do I have any plans tonight? Ha! Makisha's probably going to be pissed if I say I'm free. That's exactly why I'm going to say that I'm free. "Nope! I have absolutely nothing to do." I said with a smirk. "Good, then you both need to bake something together by the end of the night. I want photo proof that you were together!" Makisha's face turned red. I swear I can see her making a fist. "But..." Makisha said in a panic. "No but's! You are being forced to do this as a Builder's Club Member! Be good my 2 love birds!" "LOVEBIRDS!?" Makisha and I shouted in sync. Before anything else could happen, the bell rang.

Ralphen-Hey Makisha. I'm pretty sure
you had nothing going on. I know you just
didn't want to be my partner. Trust me,
neither do I. I don't want to fail this
no matter how much I hate you.
Can we please just bake something.
You can come to my house if you
want. Mr. Demo wants proof that
we were together. Can we just
get this over with?
Makisha-Fine. I'll be there at 6. 🙄

(Time Skip to 6:00)
Makisha's POV:
I can't believe this didn't work out the way I wanted it to! As I pull into Ralphen's driveway, I turn down the volume on the car radio. Oh, his parents must be home. I see 2 other cars. I slowly walked up the 3 stairs to Ralphen's front porch.

Ralphen's POV:
"RALPHEN!" My mom yelled from the kitchen, thinking I was upstairs. "Ahh mom! I'm right here." "Oh, shouldn't Makisha be here soon?" She asked. I sighed. "Yeah, She will. "Is everything ok Ralphen? You two used to always hang out. This is the first time in years." My mom said in a concerned tone. "Yeah it's..." My doorbell rang. "I'll get it," I said.

Makisha's POV:
Ralphen opened the door. I can't stand his face. I also can't stand the fact that I'm going to be in this house again. I was hoping to never have this house in my sight again, but here I am. "Umm, hi." I said, glaring at him. "Hey Makisha." Ralphen sighed. "You've been here before. You know where to put your-" A female voice interrupted him. "Hi Makisha! I'm so happy to have you here. You can put your bag over on that couch. If you need anything, I'll be upstairs. So will Ralphen's dad. Have fun!" Ralphen's mom said. I always liked Ralphen's mom. She is so caring and kind to me. She used to treat me like her family, and she still does. Ralphen's mom went upstairs. "Do you a soda?" Ralphen asked. I can't believe he's pretending that we're friends, but I'll keep that thought to myself. "No." I said sternly. "Fine, more for me." Ralphen said. I hate that jerk.

Third Person POV: "Well, what are we going to bake?" Makisha asked. "To be honest, I know nothing about baking, so you can pick." Ralphen responded. "Oh, I forgot that you suck at things involving food, including holding a food tray." Makisha said. Ralphen ignored her comment. Makisha sighed. "How about cupcakes?" Makisha asked, sounding tired. "Ok, you're going to have to teach me though."

Ralphen's POV:
Being with Makisha and cooking reminded me of our movie nights where we would make frozen foods. It was so much fun. I couldn't think of this though. I need to focus on making these cupcakes. Also, Makisha has changed. "Focus, jerk." Makisha said. I apologized. "Sorry your majesty." That probably wasn't the best thing to say, but she's annoying as hell. "Ralphen, I'll make the cupcakes. A you need to make the homemade buttercream icing. Can you handle reading some instructions or is your brain too small?" I sighed. "I can handle making some icing, Makisha." "Good." She pulled up a recipe on her phone. It didn't seem that hard to do.

Makisha's POV:
Ralphen was surprisingly doing good. He didn't pour in all of the powdered sugar at once. I'm surprised that he knew not to. I finished my cupcake mix. I found cupcake liners and poured the mix into the liners. After, I put them into the oven. "You're done already?" Ralphen asked. "Yes, idiot, it doesn't take that long to mix some ingredients." Ralphen wasn't fighting back. For a moment I almost felt bad, but then I realized how much I hated him...but does he hate me? I hope I'm not being mean. Uhh, stop it! I slapped myself in the face. "Uhh," Ralphen said confused. "Just make your icing! I'm going to the bathroom." I announced. When I got back, the icing was done. "How did you not make any mistakes?" I asked confused. "Umm, when I was home I searched up a few videos about baking. I didn't want to mess things up and make you mad again. I'm done making mistakes." Ralphen responded. I felt guilty.

(30 Minutes Later)
Ralphen's POV:
The cupcakes were finished! "These look so good!" Makisha said smiling. "Yeah, they do! We should each have one since we made them." I said. We each took a cupcake and ate it. They were REALLY good. "Wow." We said at the same time. We laughed. "I should get going. Don't forget to bring these to the bake sale tomorrow." Makisha said. "Yeah, I will. Hopefully I don't drop them. I seem to have a history with dropping food." I said. That was probably a BIG MISTAKE. WHY DID I BRING THAT UP? She laughed. "Don't forget, I still hate you Ralphen." Makisha said. "I hate you too." I responded. Makisha waved and shut the front door behind her. Once she pulled out of the driveway, I flopped down on my bed and smiled. It felt good to get along...sort of. Just for a little at least. It was better for arguing. My mom walked in my room. "How was everything?" She asked. "Good." I answered. "Ok, good night Ralphen." She said. "Good night."
