Harry's POV

Pennelope's head was rested on my chest the next morning, her arm was draped over me, gripping her charm bracelet which she rarely ever took off. Today there is going to he a Hogsmeade trip, I thought with all the tight security and stuff they would stop letting us go. But I was extremely happy to find out that they hadn't.

Not wanting to get up and wake Pennelope up, I reached over to my bedside table and picked up my Prince book.

The more Pennelope seems to see me use it, I can sort of see her glaring at it. She's becoming more suspicious about it and gives me disapproving looks whenever I use charms on people that I had read in the book.

I don't normally read textbooks in bed, that's usually Hermione and Pennelope. But I don't consider this book a textbook, the more I poured over the book the more I realised how much is actually in here, not only handy hints and shortcuts on potions that were earning me such a glowing reputation with Slughorn's, but also the little jinxes and hexes scribbled in the margins. Which I was sure that the Prince had invented them himself.

I had attempted a few of them. There was a hex that caused toenails to grow alarmingly fast (I had tried it on Crabbe in the corridor, with very entertaining results) a jinx that glued the tongue to the roof of the mouth (which I have used twice on both Filch and Hermione, who was absolutely furious the next day) and then the most useful of all, Muffiato, a spell that filled the ears of anyone nearby with an I identifiable buzzing, so coversations could be held in class without being overheard.

Pennelope and Hermione didn't find these amusing though, except the toenail on Crabbe, she cracked a smile at that.

Crammed in the corner of a page was the words

Levicorpus (nvbl)

I stared at the letters in brackets, Pennelope's breathing calming me down. Nvbl . . . That has to mean "nonverbal" I doubt I'll be able to do this spell, but why not? The only person who can do nonverbal spells perfectly was Pennelope.

I closed my eyes and pointed my wand at nothing in particular (bad idea to do this with your girlfriend sleeping on you 'you just might be pointing your wand at her')

I gave an upward flick and said 'Levicorpus!' Inside my head.

There was a terrified shriek and Pennelope had suddenly vanished from my side. There was a flash and the room was full of voices. I opened my eyes and right above me was Pennelope dangling by her ankle.

"Sorry!" I yelled, throwing my book down as Pennelope crossed her arms and glared at me. Her hair fell all the way to the bed and she looked absolutely furious.

Seamus and Dean (I accidenlty typed Sam and Dean when writing this) roared with laughter at the sight of Pennelope. Neville picked himself up from the floor, having fallen out of it. Ron was just staring in shock.

And Pennelope, well, she looks as if this is the last time she's sleeping with me. "Hang on - I'll let you down -"

"Harry James Potter," she said under her breath, shaking her head back and forth. "What am I going to do with you?"

"You can kiss me later," I said, bad mistake, she pursed her lips and shook her head no.

"Not until you get me down."

I jumped off my bed and groped for the potion book. I ruffled through the pages in panic, trying to find the right spell on the right page. Underneath the jinx I had used was a counter-jinx scribbled underneath.

I thought 'Liberacorpus!' With all my might.

There was another flash of light, an Pennelope fell on top of me, pushing me into the mattress.
