I was getting his clothes and stuff ready for his shower, and daydreaming about the first time I came to Eli's house.

My junior year of high school was the year Eli got into his car accident the end of that summer.

First day of school Daydream:

I was sitting in my English class when Mrs. Flynn started to speak.

"This summer one of your classmates Eli Cameron was in a car accident." Mrs. Flynn started to say, "the school is asking any student willing to go to his house and volunteer their time to tutor him, read to him or just keep him company for a few hour. It will go down as hours of serves for graduation."

No one volunteered so Mrs. Flynn just said, "If anyone changes their minds meet me after class," then she started the lesson for the day.

When the bell rang and all the students started to file out of the class i waited for everyone to leave.

"Mrs. Flynn." I said walking up to her desk, "I'll do it. I'll go to Eli's house and tutor him."

"Thank you Samantha." She said taking in a breath, "It's not going to be easy, he has some sort of brain damage that causes him memory loss. His mother can explain more when you go there."

"Okay." I said to my teacher then walked to my next class.

By the end of the school day I was tired but I wanted to go to Eli's house to see him. I've had a crush on him since middle school, but he was the popular boy and I was the shy invisible girl who he never knew my name.

Eli and his friends were't the typical popular mean kids you see in movies, truth was they just never really spoke to anyone outside of the click. They never made fun of anyone, they just kept to themselves.

I drove up to the address Mrs. Flynn gave me and knocked on his door. An older lady my moms age opened the door and greeted me.

"You must be Samantha James." She said shaking my hand. "I'm Kate Cameron, Eli's mom."

"Nice to meet you Mrs. Cameron." I shook her hand.

"Please sweetie call me Kate." She told me, moving to the side to let me into the door. "Do you know Eli?" Kate asked me.

"I know him from school, but i never talked to him." I said shyly.

"Oh. Well thank you for doing this for him, none of his friends have seen him since the accident." She had a sad expression on her face. "You need to be prepared because every time you come over you'll have to re-introduce yourself to him. The accident damaged his frontal lobe that houses his short term memory, so if he has never met you before the accident he won't remember you."

"I can do that." I told her with a smile, "I'm used to people forgetting me."

"I don't believe that." She smiled at me, "You have an unforgettable face."

When I walked into his room for the first time, I couldn't breath. He was still the most beautiful boy I've ever laid eyes on.

Eli looked at me, "Who are you?" He asked with a stern look on his face.

"I'm Sam. I go to school with you." I told him shyly.

"If we went to school together, why don't I know who you are?" He had a skeptical look on his face.

"You are apart of the popular crowd and i wasn't, so we never spoke." I told him.

"Have you seen my girlfriend Krista in school?" Eli asked me.
