A week earlier. My mum and I were sat on the couch outside Doctor Jackson's office. My mum looked devastated; I could tell just by the way she was demolishing a note partly into small tiny pieces. The doctor called us in. We stepped in and the first thing that came to my mind is "Where's Layla?". We took a seat and the doctor just stared at us with a serious look; "So." - my mum said disrespectfully. He seemed to be nervous. He looked at the computer screen and replied," There's no easy way to tell you both, but Layla's updated results came in and she has only a few days to live" There was silence for a moment: I felt heartbroken...
I was quite, quite upset during this time as..as it has been almost a year since my tender sister passed away. She suffered from a long-term sickness, a bad miserable torturous murderer. She was only 17 when hell sank her. She'd always complain.
I noticed hair loss, weight loss, bruises, bone pains, headaches, and wounds that wouldn't heal! I swear to God there were some mornings that I'd walk in the bathroom and the first thing I notice is that wine blood.
It was poor sunny. I woke up, went to the bathroom. From nowhere, like a demon or sort of manifestation. Few Seconds. Actually - less than a second and she appeared behind the door like a ghost; smacking, whacking, knocking so desperately. I unlocked the door and her face... I could already tell that she was nauseous as her face looked pale like a tulip.
Sometimes she'd have sleepwalked throughout the omen corridors at dark hours which indeed made me feel frightened but that's a native event you can't control. That unstoppable creaking gave me 'Morphine'. Rapidly, Goosebumps climbed up my arm. She died in agony from an attacking enemy; bullying, destroying every organ miniature breathing cell. Eventually, days passed and I never saw her again.
She was diagnosed with her betrayer - Leukemia: Her name was Layla...
Earlier this day, the receptionist from the ward gave my mum a call regarding a visit. My mum cried with joy and shouted from happiness, "We're going to see Layla!" I sprinted downstairs "What's up, Mum?" - I asked. She looked at me with her lucid tears and smiled at me with her ivory teeth - I smelled a surprise. We rushed to the hospital. But, by the time we got there: it was too late...
