A night with the boss

Sophie's eyes fluttered open, the sun was up, the white curtains waved with the small morning breeze, the sun brightened the room. She was starving, She realized where she was and sat up, covering herself with the white cover cloth. She turned and saw Ben coming out of the other room. He was fully dressed in his suit. She bit her lip and tucked her hair behind her ears embarrassed as he walked to her with his usual emotionless face.

He sat next to her and leaned in to kiss her, her inside twirled joyfully. He let go tugging softly on her lips, he trailed his nose on her temple smelling her and then whispered.

'Take your time sophie, i'll see you at work, the maid will get you some work clothes' He said, stood up and walked away without looking back.

Sophie stared blankly not sure what was going to happen next. She cuddled herself, knees to chest and just stared.

Fuck, she just slept with her boss, and it was good, it was very good, it was so good she passed out.

Ben got to work with too much on his mind, he knew Joe was hiding something from him, something big. His mind went back to how Joe had looked at him, the pity. None of that mattered now, he was now the enemy.

Paul met him as soon as he entered his office floor.

'Did you find the files?' Ben asked Paul and he nodded.

Ben had sent Paul, to their old vacation house that now belonged to his uncle, paul had sneaked in to get some information.

'i need to talk to Joe' Ben said as his eyes caught Sophie's desk. He paused

'She'll be here soon sir' Paul said hoping everything went well last night.

Ben nodded inattentively and walked into his office taking off his suit.

'Seems like Dragon is in more debt than we know'

'It's true, you need to renounce your heirship to the company'

Ben closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

'i'll loose the company forever'

'It's not worth it ben, you've worked to build this magnificent company all your life, they're going to take everything you own, this isn't just about you but the people that have worked beside you and that are working besides you now, everyone in this company right now, we can't risk it Ben, you need to renounce it'

Ben's eyes stayed close, slightly frowning.

'Please Ben' paul said as he placed a file on the table. 'The company will be sold this evening at 4pm, let this go' Paul said with a sigh and left the office leaving Ben to his thoughts. Ben opened his eyes and looked at the file on his desk.

Sophie entered the office at exactly 11am, Paul was not in thankfully.

She sat down quietly, there were some new files on her table, she opened them and none was related to Dragon, she was back to her normal work.

She glanced at Ben's office and wondered what decision he had made.

Her desk phone rang and she picked it up.

The receiver's voice was raspy and worried filled.

'connect me to Ben immediately' He said

'Okay, who may i say...'

'I don't have time for this, do it!' he yelled

And she connected him immediately, and listened.

'Joe' Ben's voice sounded into her ear making her heart race.

'Ben i'm sorry, the deed is done, you need to leave the state immediately, All the debts are in your name, I'm sorry i didn't tell you, I'm sorry ben'

'But the sale was not supposed to happen until 4'

'Paul was here, he knew paul was in the country house, he suspected me too'

'So it's been sold'

'Yes, it's finished and he'll make you pay, he's a very dangerous man, duke Don, you need to leave'

'Hello' A bald old man in a black suit and a grey briefcase greeted with a smile as he stood in front of her

She hurriedly put down the phone and smiled back.

'Good morning, can i help you?'

'I'd like to speak to Benjamin Hamilton' He said in a shaky raspy voice

'Yeah, sure, I'll just let him know...'

'Ken Hamilton' he said with a smile

'Hamilton?' she questioned

He giggled 'We're not related in anyway'

'oh, I'm sorry' she said, giving him an apologetic smile.

She dialed his office but he didn't pick.

'just a second' She said as she stood up and brazened herself to go into his office. She drew in a big breath as she knocked on his door and peeped in, he was pacing with a cup of alcohol in his hands.

'Hey' he said as he stopped pacing, he looked worried and confused. It was the first time his face showed any emotions.

'Im sorry, someone is here to see you' sophie said,her hands behind her back.

'Who?' His head flung up

'Um, Ken Hamilton'

Ben's face was filled with unbelief

Sophie took that has her que and signaled for Ken to follow her, she led him into the office, and shocked, Ben ran and hugged Ken, tears falling from his eyes.

Her heart dropped as she hurriedly left, shutting the door behind her.
