"I've found the perfect cat for you."
He sat on his hunches as he listened. The cage was cramped, and he was forced in an uncomfortable position. A blanket shunned most of the light from leaking in. However, a small portion snuck under where the blanket hadn't fully covered. He sniffed through the steel bars that made up the door, getting a sense of his environment outside the carrier. There was an overall comfortable atmosphere as if he was in one of the housing complexes back on Cybertron. It was a warm and homey feeling that was foreign to him.
The only place he had to call home were the gladiatorial pits, which were cold and harsh. It was what he was used to from the get-go, but this was indeed new."Really?"
The girl's voice bounced him back into the present, the present he wished never existed. The muscles in his back screamed at him for being immobile. He quietly growled to himself for having such a weak body.
"Why don't we go upstairs? It was a long car ride back here." the older male suggested.
"Yeah, he must want some food and water." she replied.
He heard the light steps of the girl as she neared his cage. He couldn't see much of her, only the blue fabric covering her feet. The pet carrier was lifted by the female, hearing a grunt.
"Wow, he's heavy!"
The male chuckled.
It was a bumpy ride as the human struggled with carrying the crate.
He was taken to the other end of the front room, and up wooden steps to the second housing unit level. He wondered how large the place was.
The cat was somewhat thankful when the young female passed through an open door and then set him down. He caught a glimpse of a rug that had colorful and intricate designs.
Two more sets of footsteps were heard, more considerable than the ones made by the girl. He also recognized the scent of the older male.
The said man came closer and grasped the blanket that hung on top of the cage."Are you ready to see him?"
"Yes!" the girl said eagerly.
A rustle of fabric and then there was light. It took his eyes a moment to readjust before he could see the humans. The young female -almost an adult- sat in front of him. She was sitting on her legs with a loose shirt and tank top, as well as shorts. Flowing blonde locks of hair and emerald eyes. She gasped as she peered through the bars.
She scooted closer and unlocked the hatch to the carrier.
"That thing is too small for you," she muttered."Too small? David, what did you get her?" the older female questioned the male.
"It's okay, honey."
So this is a human pair and offspring...
The feline stared intently as the door to his prison opened. He flicked his tail in anticipation. The girl was cautious as to not unintentionally scare him, which he found mildly insulting."Come on out." the girl made room in front of the crate.
He immediately exited the carrier. His muscles ached and his joints cracked from not moving in so long. He marveled the freedom now as he stretched.
"Oh my God," the mother breathed, "it's huge."
The silver cat only sat down and scanned the room. It was the human version of a berthroom, most likely the young female's considering the decor.
"He's handsome." the girl smiled and lifted a hand to him.
The silver goliath spotted movement in his peripheral vision and turned his head. He stalked over and sat beside the girl.
He sniffed her, finding a soft scent from her.
"I like your markings." She complimented him.Don't flatter me, girl.
He focused his gaze up at her as he continued to analyze her scent.
She smiled down at him, clearly pushing down her excitement. After a few moments, the human cautiously moved her hand towards his head. The feline eyed the hand as it inched closer.
And closer. . .
His claws itched.And closer. . .
A small menacing smirk played on his mouth.And. . .
"Hey, kitty. I'm back."
He groggily picked up his head off his paws, and stared at the human who dared to interrupt his nap.
"I see you like your new bed," she set the backpack down and placed her hands in her pockets, "I'm glad."
He then dropped his head back down, wanting to resume his rest. He peeked an eye open as she walked by.
The human had bandaging around her arm and hand from the day before.
A subtle yet victorious grin was plastered on his face.
Weakling. . .
