. . . scared for her life. . That was something life changing."

Slender hands grasped the edges of the Cloak the Wild Witch wore, her face drastically transformed to an older man with facial hair and a single horn jutting from his forehead. The 'man' watched with tears in his eyes, hazel eyes wide as she watched the Owl Beast sit there, accepting her fate. No, he couldn't watch. He couldn't dare watch. . Because he wasn't strong enough to help her.
. . How weak of a Witch is he really to lose the two people he loved the most?
As a tear trailed down their flushed cheeks, their illusion would shimmer slightly, returning back to the image of the older man. His grasp on the cloak tightened, him hunching over slightly as he looked to his feet. He knew it was starting soon, the way the crowd got all riled up. And it made him sick to his stomach. He could be helping. He could be helping and he was just standing there in frustration and confusion. Was he even a true Wild Witch? He rebelled against the Emperor for decades now, yet couldn't bring himself to rescue Edalyn?

". . . It seems the head of the Emperor's Coven is in the cage as well!"

That made the older man's head snap up, eyes widening as he looked to the cage. Lily. Titan, they had King, too! If they were here, then where was. .
The man jumped where he stood as he heard the announcer's voice change drastically, a young boy asking and telling the crowd that Edalyn was innocent, the crowd quick to change their ideals for the Wonderful Wild Witch they knew. As soon as these words were spoken, he couldn't take much more. He knew a coward like him, someone who can't even match a child's stupid bravery, shouldn't be here to witness Edalyn's petrification. . . And he needed to go find Luz the Human. He needed to make sure she was safe. For Edalyn.

While the crowd was distracted and cheering for the release of their beloved Wild Witch, the older man turned on his heels, heading away from the castle. Silent, his illusion disappeared, leaving him to their original form: Ocean. The Squid Witch.
She kept using her illusion magic though, her body shimmering as it quickly became invisible to most Witches eyes. She summoned her staff and gave her Palisman a soft tap, just to let him know she was there.
Climbing onto her staff, she shot up into the air before turning around abruptly, scanning the surrounding area with squinted amber eyes. She held her breath as she looked for the Human, feeling terrified for the fragile kid. She couldn't lose someone else. She can't lose both Edalyn and her apprentice. She couldn't bear to have that on her conscience. Just thinking about losing both of them. . She'll never see their happy faces again. She'll never be able to stop by The Owl House again, talking over Bad Girl Coven things with Edalyn. She'll never be able to spend a bit of time with Luz, trying hard to show her new Glyphs for the Human to use, seeing the Wild Witch was interested in how the Glyphs worked.
She'll never be able to speak with King and give him a new plush to have. She'll. . Never be able to spend time with them. The few times she stopped by since Luz had arrived? Were some of the most enjoyable moments she had in a long time. Being stuck in an empty cabin with your own creations? It gets lonely quick. It gets cold. And then you're alone with your thoughts. . What you've done in the past. What crimes have you committed and worst of all? The things you regret. The things that weigh heavy on the conscience, the very things that keep her up late at night to cause those darkened, sunken eyes of hers. A guilty conscience is Ocean's curse, so to speak, the very thing holding her back from being a True Wild Witch, someone powerful like Edalyn.
Wet droplets were felt on Ocean's hands, her snapping back to reality with a soft gasp. She had been gripping her staff so tightly it was almost painful, tears falling onto her hands as she sat hunched over, cheeks wet with falling tears as she silently cried to herself.

"Pull yourself together, Ocean. You do it for him. . You do it for her." Ocean told herself, shaking her head to rid herself of her awful thoughts, now flying around to almost patrol the place. The more she circled, the more concerned she grew. Where was Luz? Where was the Human? No, no, no, she can't be left alone. She'll get hurt! She can't have that happen. She can't—
