l/n was going to do it. she was going to confess.

l/n wasn't usually the kind of person to worry over things, she just believed they'd go whichever way fate led them. but this was different. she could completely ruin what she'd took so long creating.

her friendship with kita shinsuke.

worrying was a weird feeling for her. she always felt like there was something she needed to be doing.

kita was trying to ignore his feelings. sucks to be him, because, that my friend, is not how you get over your literal soulmate.

he knew trying to get away from her wouldn't work. she always found a way back into his life and would make more of an impact he'd ever expect. so with that, something happened.

for the first time in his life, kita shinsuke was out of ideas.

"l/n-san, so you're sure ya wanna confess?" akagi questioned. on the outside, it seemed like he was just concerned incase l/n's feelings would become hurt if she got rejected, when really, akagi betted on kita confessing first and didn't want to be in debt of 7000 yen to ojiro.

"oh shut up, akagi," l/n rolled her eyes, "i know you betted on shinsuke making the first move. ya know, if you get him to make the first move before i do, you'll still get that 7000 yen from ojiro."

"wha-what! how could you think of us doing such a thing!" akagi mockingly accused, placing his arm on his forehead in fake offence. l/n snorted in amusement, questioning how this man-child was at the age of 18.

l/n looked up to see kita's face with a warm smile. he chuckled and gave the girl a hug.

kita felt like he could just collapse and nothing bad would happen. he didn't think something as trivial as a love interest could make him feel this way.

l/n felt the fireworks inside her and that moment made her realise how amazing life really was. 

and it was all thanks to that boy from five years ago, who showed her why she should live on.
