Chapter 6 - Lily

Luna and Lily started walking down the hall to their first class of the day, DADA. They walked in and almost everyone was already there. Lily saw her mom waving Luna over. Luna dragged her over with her.

"Luna, who's this?"

"This is Lily. Today's her first day."

"Hi Lily, I'm Ginny."

"Hi," Lily stuttered.

"You too look alike. Maybe you are related?" Luna looked at the two gingers.

"Yeah, maybe," Lily said, trying to hide the fact that she was freaking out.

"Alright class, today we will be learning about dementors. The first thing you need to know is how to avoid them..."

Lily didn't pay much attention. She had learned this during her first year, so she just doodled on her piece of parchment. She drew the Deathly Hallows and flowers growing off from around it.

"Miss Lily, would you like to answer this next question since you must already know all about dementors?" he didn't wait for an answer, "what should someone eat after being attacked by a dementor?"

"Chocolate." Professor Lupin smiled at her genuinely.

"That is correct. 5 points to Ravenclaw."

"Lily, how did you know that?" Ginny asked Lily with an incredulous look on her face.

"Oh, I read a book of dementors once."

"How did you get a book about magical creatures if you were in a muggle orphanage?" This time it was Luna asking.

"I found it in the library last night after arriving."

"Ohhh." Both Ginny and Luna said I sync, then giggled.

"Class dismissed!" Lupin announced. The three girls walked out the room together laughing.

"So, Lily, any boys caught your eye?" Ginny asked.

"Not really. What about you?"

"Can I tell you guys a secret?" Ginny whispered. Lily and Luna nodded. "I like Harry."

"Aww! You guys would be so cute!" Lily giggled.

"You two would go very well together." Luna added.

Suddenly a tall boy with a round face walked by. Lily thought he looked slightly familiar, but he was also so cute. The boy looked at Lily and she blushed. He gave her a quick smile and walked off.

"Oh. My. Gosh! You like Neville!" Ginny squealed.

Neville? Why does that name sound familiar? Lily thought.

"I mean he's pretty cute, but whatever."

"Not 'whatever'! You should totally go talk to him!"

"Well, all three of us have lunch together. Does he?" Luna spoke up.

"Yeah! So, here's the plan. Lily, Luna, you two will come sit at the Gryffindor table with me and I'll sit with Neville. Perfect!"

"That sounds fun." Luna smiled.

"Okay, that's fine with me. But only if you sit with Harry tomorrow. Deal?"

"Deal!"
