The next day, all the Karasuno Volleyball team members gathered up before setting off to their local volleyball court where they will be having their practice match with Nekoma.
As for Nekoma, they packed the things that they needed only and took their bus to the volleyball court as well since they'll be going back tomorrow morning.
When both teams arrived, they happened to meet each other at the entrance of the court.
Hinata immediately spotted Kenma from the Nekoma team and his eyes light up. He walked up to Kenma, feeling happy to meet him again.
"Hi Kenma! I didn't know that you're from Nekoma? Why didn't you tell me yesterday..." Hinata pouted as he asked.
"Oh hi Shoyo... Well...that's cause you didn't asked...." seeing Hinata pouting, he felt like poking his puffy cheeks but didn't as it would be completely out of his character and his teammates would freaked out. Plus, he doesn't want to deal with bothersome questions later.
" Ah...haha... you do have a point.... " Hinata replied as he laugh awkwardly.
"B-but how did you know that you would see me again? You said 'see you later' yestersday before leaving right?" Seeing Kenma, he thought of the question that have been bugging him till he had forgotten it due to practice.
"Yesterday, your shirt has the word 'Karasuno High School' on it....so that's how I knew..." Kenma replied.
"Oh....-! " as Hinata was about to talk more with Kenma, a scary looking guy suddenly showed up behind Kenma and he froze up.
"Huh?! Do you have any problem with our setter here?!" he talked in a gangster-like toned and his hairstyle was similar to Tanaka's but he had blonde hair just in the middle. (sry T-T I don't know what the hairstyle is called)
"U-uh...." Hinata trembled from the scaring looking guy, he couldn't find any words to reply him.
Then, Tanaka seeing Hinata trembling, he walked up behind Hinata and replied to the guy.
"Huh? And what problem do you have with our first-year, City Boy?!" Tanaka replied to the guy with a scary face as well.
After that, the guy's attention was changed from Hinata to Tanaka. Seeing that, Kenma pulled Hinata from between the two people to calm him down.
"Shoyo...you okay? Sorry, that was one of my teammates, Yamamoto..." he pats Hinata's back to calm him down.
Feeling better from the tension earlier and with Kenma's comfort, Hinata managed to calm down.
"Yup, I'm fine now Kenma and its okay! Thanks for comforting me Kenma!" he gave Kenma a bright smile to show that he's alright.
"Oh, that's nothing..." he lower down his head to hide his blush from
Hinata's bright smile.
"Shoyo's smile is so warm.... I could look at it forever..." Kenma thought.
Just before heading in, Kenma told Hinata something that warmed up Hinata's heart as well.
"Shoyo... I'm glad that I could meet you again...." he gave Hinata a light smile.
Hinata stood there for a while, froze, trying to process the warmness that he's feeling inside right now and to think of a solution to slow his heartbeat down from beating to fast.
Hinata went back to normal when Kageyama walks up to him and shook his shoulder.
"H-huh? What is it Kageyama?"
"You know him?" he asked.
"Oh! He's Kenma, he's Nekoma's setter! I met him yesterday when I got lost."
"Setter you say?" Hinata could feel the burning heat from Kageyama, trying to compete with a new rival.
Then, both groups went inside the court and started to warm up for their practice match.
