Rowen Moonwalker- Rain's Hand 14th (Loredas)

"Hey, You. You're finally awake!"
Rowen looked around, confusion clouding her mind. Where was she? How did she get here? And her hands...why were her hands bound? Who were these people?
She ignored the man who spoke to her. Her head pounded with every moment she made to look around. She strained her mind for any memories. A family? Nothing. Friends? Same thing.
Who was she?
She had a name, Rowen Moonwalker. God, she hardly remembered her own appearance. Dark hair, green and brown bi-colored eyes, freckles. That was it, right? It had to be.
"You were trying to get over the border, correct?" The blonde man laughed "Bad timing, my friend. Bad timing. Ran right into that Imperial ambush."
She looked at him "Imperial ambush...wh-where are they taking us?"
He looked over "I don't know where we're going. But Sovenguard awaits"
A dark-haired man in the corner spoke up "No! We didn't do anything wrong! She and I..we're innocent" he looked at Rowena "We don't belong here. You and I"
She tilted her head. Did she? Was she a criminal who had been given a spell to prologue her torture? Cause her to be in pain before she was killed? She had so many questions.
"Face your death with some courage, horse thief" The blonde said, looking back at Rowena "Ralof of Riverwood. And you are?"
She strained her mind again, trying to prove that 'Rowena Moonwalker' was her name.
Well, even if it wasn't, it was all she had
"Rowen Moonwalker."
"Of..?"
"I-I'm a traveler. I have no home. Nor family"
Ralof sighed, leaning back "Alright. You know me now." He nodded to a man with a gag "And that, my dear lady, is Ulfric Stormcloak. Although I'm sure you know him"
She squinted her eyes, trying to ignore the great ache in her head. She didn't know who Ulfric Stormcloak was, she didn't know anything.
"Ah, your head. Nasty wound you've got there. I'd imagine it hurts."
She agreed, touching the bloodied scratch with her bound hands "Like you wouldn't believe."
The thief began to pray loudly, and Rowena felt her head get worse before she kicked him in the leg
"Shut it! Pray quietly"
He paused for a moment before pressing his lips together. She assumed he was praying in his head.
Ralof laughed, looking at her with raised eyebrows
"Every man likes-
"-Quiet down back there!"
Rowen flinched at his loud tone and leaned her head back, trying to think and remember..anything really.
She remembered her name. And how she looked. She kept getting glances of fire. Red reptilian eyes and black scales. Then everything went black. That was all she remembered.
She looked down at her clothes, hoping what she had on would provide something. It didn't. She had on a ragged and burnt dress with no sleeves. That explained why she was so cold, at least.
Tamriel. She was in Skyrim, Tamriel.
She began to mutter silently to herself "My name is Rowena Moonwalker. I have one green and one brown eye, dark hair. I'm in Skyrim, Tamriel. I'm twenty three-no twenty four...I'm in my twenties."
Good enough for now, considering her situation.
They soon made it to a city with a sign labeled 'Helgen'. People muttered and told their children to get instead.
"I wanna watch the soldiers"
"Inside. Now!"
Rowen heard the interaction of a father and son. She was focusing so hard on looking around the city that Ralofs voice almost made her jump out of her skin
"Helgen! I used to be sweet on a girl from here" He began to look around as well "Funny. When I was a boy, Imperial walls and towers made me feel so safe."
Rowen took a breath as the carriage stopped. With everything she remembered, her life just began and it was about to be over. She knew she had to face her death with courage.
'You are nothing if not brave'
She remembered someone saying. The voice sounded familiar, comforting almost. She would follow it, she promised to whatever person had said it to her. She was nothing if not brave.
Following the others out of the carriage, she raised her chin in mock confidence.
An imperial soldier called the dark haired man forward.
"No! You're not gonna kill me" The man ran off, tripping but still staying on his feet.
Rowen grimaced as the captain yelled for the archers.
"Now! Anyone else feel like running!?"
Rowens mouth opened with her consent, words that were meant to stay in her head coming out of  her mouth
"No. But I feel like you could lower your voice"
The captain raised her eyebrows "Excuse me, prisoner?"
Rowen looked around, as if hoping her thoughts had been said by someone else "Uhm..I..that-that was meant to be a thought" she cleared her throat "Apologizes, Captain. You can..uh..keeping going if you wish." She said, waving her tied hands.
The captain looked Rowen up and down before the solider at her side spoke "You..what's your name?"
Rowen looked up "Moonwalker. Rowen Moonwalker" she bit down on her tongue, hard, to keep the 'I think' from slipping past her lips.
"Captain, she's not on the list."
"She goes to the block."
Rowen fought back a remark as she was pushed to watch the priest give a prayer
"As we condemn your souls to the gods. You must remember-
"Get on with it! Death to the Stormcloaks!"
Rowen flinched. If one more person yelled-
The general looked to the bound man "Ulfric. I imagined you'd be caught up in this." He walked closer, grabbing Ulfrics face "Some in Skyrim call you a hero. But a hero doesn't murder his king using a power like the voice! Now, you shall die." He looked back to the captain "Start. I want to see these bastards dead"
"First prisoner!"
Rowens heart pounded faster, but she wasn't afraid. It was as if her body was preparing her for something.
Her muscles became taunt and she looked around with her eyes more alert than they had been before.
Her ears seemed to focus on something that no one else could hear, she couldn't be even hear it.
But she knew it was bad. The throbbing in her skull lessened significantly as she looked to the skies.
"My ancestors are smiling at me imperials! Can you say the same!?" The man on the block exclaimed. The executioner brought the axe down, the mans head falling into the basket.
She looked around, ears almost visibly perking up at a loud roar from the sky. Those same red eyes and black scales shot through her mind.
"What was that?"
"Nothing just the wind. Now, you! The girl"
Rowen was pushed to her knees over the head of the dead man. The eyes seemed to stare up at her unsettlingly and she felt a chill go through her body.
A shiver ran up her spine. Something was wrong. Very wrong.
"Any last words?"
She looked up, seeing a winged creature. A black scaled winged..
Oh she knew this. She knew she knew this.
"Dr-dragon!"
The word tumbled clumsily from her mouth as it crashed down on the tower behind her executioner, blowing a large blast of fire from its mouth.
The fire seemed to create an outline around her, avoiding her skin narrowly but allowing her to feel a dull burn in her skin.
Her head began to pound worse than ever, along with her vision blurring.
"No.."
She muttered to herself. She had to protect these people. She didn't know why. But she had to.
"No..no"
She collapsed to the ground.
"No!"
The cry fell from her lips as she lost consciousness.
