Rowen Moonwalker- Rain's Hand 14th (Loredas)

Blinking rapidly, Rowen slowly awoke from her state. She began to quickly remember things. Helgen, the dragon, the execution.
Her heart beat in her ears as she forced herself to her feet, looking around for the large beast.
It flew over them, burning down the city as it went. She forced herself to her feet, beginning to run through the burning buildings.
Stumbling back, she gasped when the dragon landed in front of her, it's tail right by her feet. She looked down at the ropes around her wrists and the knife-like spikes lining his tail.
"Screw it"
She muttered as she cut the ropes on the spikes, running in the opposite direction. She soon ran into..Ralof. That was it.
"There's a dragon!" She yelled. He nodded "It would seem so. Come. We can get out together" she agreed and followed after him.
Soon, they came practically face to face when it again, ready to burn a child.
Rowens body reacted before her mind did, pulling the child to her chest and turning her back to the dragon. She fully expected to be burnt to a crisp, hoping the child would atleast survive.
Instead, the fire fanned out around her. The people around her seemed to not notice, to focused on running away.
Once the dragon turned away, she stood and handed the young boy back to his mother "Thank you! Thank you" The woman cried. Rowen nodded, pointing behind her "There's a hole in the wall back there. Run. You should be safe"
"Thank you! You're a hero, girl"
The word should have been a compliment to her, but she reacted the same as if the mother had simply stated a fact "Thank you, now go" and the two ran off.
She began to run again, her mind racing.
Hero.
The woman called her a hero. Was she? She didn't know. Her act had been heroic. But why did it sound familiar, as if she was used to the term, more so than her own name even. Shaking her head, she ran behind Ralof to the keep.
"Ralof! You damn traitor!" The solider from earlier yelled
"Outta my way, Hadvar! We're getting out of here"
The redhead, Hadvar, glared "Fine! I hope the dragon takes you all to Sovenguard!"
Rowen scoffed, he was about to take off their heads and now expected them to trust him? She grabbed Ralofs arm and pulled him away as the dragon landed again.
"We need to get to the keep. There's a way out through the caves underneath" he told her. She nodded "Alright. Let's go"
She made her way to the keep with Ralof and Ulfric in tow.
Ulfric opened the door and the two of them walked in. Seeing two dead stormcloaks on the ground
"Was that truly a dragon? Like in the legends?" Ralof asked. Ulfric sighed, scratching his beard
"Legends don't burn down villages."
Rowen pulled the pins out of her knotted hair and knelt beside the lock. Her head still ached, but was bearable enough for her to run.
She placed the pins in the lock and began to twist them at odd angles, hoping it would open and they could get through.
"Those damn stormcloaks.."
She faintly heard. They probably had a key! They had to. She turned to the others and put her finger to her lips, telling them to be quiet.
They opened the door, and Rowen kicked one in the back, managing to grab his sword and drive it through his chest before he had a chance to fight back while the Ulfric and Ralof slayed the other.
Ulfric stared at her in shock, he'd never expected such a small and helpless looking woman to be able to do such a thing
"In the name of Talos, girl. You'd make a good addition to the rebellion, you know. Where'd you learn to do all that?"
Rowen shrugged, not really knowing herself  "I..I uh..I just kinda do. It's an instinct thing, I suppose"
Ulfric chuckled "It's damn good instinct. Think about the rebellion. I sense a soldier's spirit in you"
She smiled slightly "Thank you. Now, let us go. We need to get out"
They began to through the dungeons as before they were met with hallway, Rowen pulled the two men back as the hall collapsed.
"We have to find another way out, through the door" She said, pushing the door open.
She let the others fight the Imperials while she looked around for potions.
The walk seemed to last hours, fighting imperials and running from dragon flames.
They soon came across a cave-like area filled with spiderwebs. Rowen cringed as she listened to the sounds of the giant bugs crawling around.
She wasn't afraid of the spiders, they just freaked her out. Ralof put his arm out infront of her "Careful, lass. Nasty things, spiders are. To many eyes, ya know? Just be car-
He was cut of when she stabbed a spider behind his head, the two were drawn into battle again. Arrows flying and swords swinging through the air.
Ralof shot the last spider and they ran off again, another wall collapsing behind them.
She laughed "Well, no going back that way"
He agreed "Let's go. We must still be careful"She nodded.
After narrowly making their way past a bear and her cubs, the light of Skyrim soon came into view and they found themselves back in the frosty air.
Rowen panted, leaning over and resting her hands on her knees. Ralof laughed and put his hand on her shoulder
"Thank you, Rowen. I wouldn't have made it without you" She put herself back on her feet, looking around and wondering where to go
"My sister, Gerder, she lives in Riverwood." Ralof started again "You could get some clothes to wear, rest up a day or two before continuing on your way. I owe you one"
She looked at him "Are you sure?" He nodded
"I think I will. If she'll be okay with it, I'd love to stay a few days" She smiled, if she could rest for a few days she might remember more, or at least find someone who could know something.
He lead her to a town, a small town with few people and chickens roaming around. The walked to a mill with a blonde woman (who looked just like Ralof, if he'd been a female) who stood and embraced the soldiers the second she saw him.
"Ralof! In the name of the divines. Where have you been?" She asked. He smiled at her "You needn't worry, sister. I'm alright" they looked back at Rowen "But I wouldn't be without my friend here, Moonwalker, she called herself."
Gerdur shook her hand "Thank you, I know he can be a pain. You're able to stay as long as you wish, I have supplies you can take"
Rowen laughed "Thank you as well, and really, all I need is a place to stay. I can't ask for anything else"
Gerdur waved her off "Nonsense! You speak nonsense, Miss Moonwalker."
Rowen shook her head, she was grateful for their kindness but she couldn't accept everything they gave her.
"Please, just call me Rowen."
"Well, Rowen, I insist. Please, allow us to repay you"
Rowen hesitated for a moment before she agreed "Alright. But I owe you, okay?"
Gerdur didn't seem to hear her as she led them to a cottage. The home was small, but cozy and warm, and much more than Rowen expected.
There was a small fire in the center and an alcove on the top of a ladder, which is where Rowen was staying for the night.
She laid back with her hands covering her face.
Who was she?
Why was she here? She just wanted answers! Divines, she didn't understand. Was she an escaped criminal? No, that didn't make sense. She would have been recognized by now.
Maybe it was a spell, it would go away at some point. Right?

Right?
