Chavez's POV
It's early in the morning around 6 am when i started to get up in my bed still feeling sleepy. I manage to get myself together convincing to not be lazy for my first day. After 45 minutes i am done and ready to go out my house into
"Saint Joseph Academy".
Leaving my old school is extremely hard because it's already a comfort zone for me. I started elementary there until highschool, but as they say "Don't stay in your confront zone". Aside from that reason why i moved into a new academy is also my father got a new job and figured that moving next to his job building is much better than driving an hour from our old house. We'll actually we are moving back into my grandfather's house, which is a place closer to his job and where that academy is a 30 minutes drive away.
My grandfather is now alone after my grandmother sadly past away 5 years ago. His house is a big house, also now that his old and alone he needs some company.
While waiting for a taxi outside, i look around the village then find a taxi going into my direction. I stop it then entered, this will be my temporary transportation from now until i got student driver license.
I walk outside the taxi and walk straight into the entrance, this place looks fancy i said to myself. I looked at my folder containing my schedule as a grade 12 transfer student and start my way making sure to get the right direction for my first class. I peek thru the door and saw 3 early student, as i opened the door suddenly someone grab the door knob and enter. Before i can enter a women opened walk into the room without looking at me. I look at her and to describe what i saw is that i got mesmerized by her. Thinking cliche movies only does this but right now it's happening to me.
I would describe her average but seemingly has a great number of attractiveness into, she just wear an over size jacket and pants also a black rubber shoes. Her short hair framed her face perfectly but she's isn't smilling at all, but after a moment she suddenly flashes a smile.
I returned into reality when i heard the bell ring, I immediately enter the class and look for an empty seats only to found one at her back. I sat before the teacher enter then manage to fix my bag to my chair.
The usual routine for transfer student comes as the teacher calls me and here i am now standing infront of everyone. I looked to all of them then slightly counted by their heads, we are 35 student in the class.
Before i start feeling anxious infront i flash a smile then say
"Good Morning everyone, I am Chavez
Garcia i hope we can enjoy this school year together" said
I bowed and hear their common clapping.
"It's nice to have a new student here"said
the professor to me while smiling politely, i smile back at her.
I start walking back to my seat as i look at her, she it's looking at me but seemingly busy writing something. Seating on my seat makes be comfortable enough to sleep but i stay strong and be a good student.
I can't help not to wonder why this girl keeps poking into my mind after that day and onwards. Maybe i just sense something is clearly not right about her or i cliche fall in love with her. Neither of those two options, I look around the police station and saw 33 students so should i say my classmate are holding the same paper as mine busy writing details about her. Last details about seeing her before she become missing.
I walk up to the police women waiting for us to finish and gave them the statements they needed for investigation. Currently it's now 10 pm i walk outside and saw my mother and father waiting for me at our car. Before walking towards them i glance up the poster hanging on the police station board saying
"Missing Amina Dela Cruz".
This is the first time i saw her face clearly and know her name. She really looks pretty and i just realized that she isn't average at all. I smiled to myself before realizing something, maybe there is a real reason why i transfer here and not only because what i thought it is.
I went straight into our car and entered as my mother's worried face glace at me.
"Don't worry mom, I'm okay" said
"Are you sure Nicholas?" said
she asked me but before i could answer her my father replied
"You know your son, we can't keep him and that thing. All we need is to follow what it shows us, right son?" said
she sigh in relief as my father start to drive us back home.
