I have researched these topics and I have a fairly large amount collected knowledge from real-life experience with this game. Please do not play the game before reading through, every detail is important. It is a creepypasta type thing, but from wha...
Red door yellow door is known by a few names, such as black door white door/ door of minds, but they are all essentially the same game. The same factor in every game is that there is a guide and there is a player. Bystanders can watch quietly and as boring as that sounds bystanders actually have numerous amounts of tricks to try and things to do. I will get to that in its own chapter later.
So the game requires a minimum of 2 people for it to work correctly, although I have found that there is a much more dangerous way to play. (damnit it's basically fucking Homestuck)
If you are under 10 years of age make sure you are playing with at least somebody at age 11 or a really responsible 10-year-old if that is even a thing. Don't play with people you don't trust. Don't do dumb shit I've done or will do. If you want me to try anything stupid I'll gladly do it the next time I can, (it'll be a while) because I love the thought of being trapped in a mystery mind world. Just comment it down below (that's a thing right???)
The guide will sit on the floor with their legs crossed or sit on their knees/ whatever else you think you can get away with and the player will lay their head down on the guide's lap. The position the player chooses doesn't really matter as long as they are comfortable and are ready to focus. Bystanders must not be touching the player in any way and should remove all items near the player because during the game players are prone to twitching. The player will outstretch their hands straight up into the air when they are ready to start. Bystanders can help with this part if the player has already closed their eyes. (mistakes happen it's fine, there are no consequences to fudging the set up) (unless you seriously fudged it) The player should close their eyes and keep them closed the entire time. The guide will massage the temples/shoulders/upper arms of the player. This is purely just to help them focus and if they don't want the guide to massage them THEN YOU HAVE YOUR ANSWER. The guide willstart chanting the words "red door, yellow door, any other color door." (the color you say before door doesn't really matter it's just the most common way to play it) Bystanders can join in on the chanting. You can also sing it, just make it consistent and try not to be distracting. The player must imagine the doors as the guide calls them out. The player should put their hands down when one of the doors open or they find themselves somewhere else. If they don't it's fine, count them lucky and move on. The guide should ask the player questions and give them commands. The player should not do ANYTHING without the guide telling them too. If the player happens to do something without the guide's approval they should say it aloud. The player can deny commands, as their freedom after death is on the line. The guide should ask the player how they feel about items, people, and surroundings frequently. If the player is in danger, or if any of the Bystanders think the guide is putting the player in danger they should shake the player awake immediately. If this doesn't work then go to measures as drastic as splashing water or slapping the player. Please refer to another chapter for information on what to look out for. If I haven't written it yet find another source. Loud noises can wake the player, and because for about 8 months I thought I was going to be cursed like dead players, It is fine if noises around you wake you or if you accidentally get out of the trance yourself. However, you should still shake the player for the trance to wear off completely, because the day the school bell woke me up I was still partially in the trance all the way until I got home. I barely have a recollection of what happened, but I was one of the few players who didn't have any doors or places to go to, and there were no items. I call that a void session (HOMESTUCK) because you won't be finding any trapped dead players or truly progress. If you happen to still be in the trance after a game, or even light-headed, ask anybody to shake you. Or listen to loud noises or try and exercise. (run, jump, dance, whatever.) This has been a long read, I'll wrap it up. Bystanders and Guides shake the player awake when you have to cut it short or need to wake them up.
That'll be it for this chapter today.SIKE BI-ATCH

I found this in my fortune cookie. Don't play for safety play for the lost lives. Although, it says "in the world" so I'm not sure if that qualifies for spooky mind realms so just take this with a grain of salt folks
