Izuku opened his eyes, lightly jumping in excitement, as he looked around and took in his surroundings. The two males were in the middle of a field surrounded by blossom trees and grass so tall that it reaches up to your knees. At the very end of the field lay a blanket with a picnic basket over it filled with pastries and two small meals for when they get hungry. Encircling the picnic was a string of mini lightbulbs, each glowing a different color, as it hung on the branches of the trees. Izuku's eyes widened in surprise. He definitely wasn't expecting this.

Katsuki kept his eyes straightforward, not wanting to make eye contact with the greennette as he waited for a response. Nervous would be an understatement for how Katsuki was feeling right now. He was terrified. Terrified that Izuku wouldn't like it, or that Izuku would realize that he did this because he's interested in him and then reject him. Kastuki looked down and noticed that his hands were shaking, so he shoved them into his pockets in order for Izuku not to notice.

It was quiet for awhile and Katsuki was getting more and more nervous by the second. He took a few steps forward, in order to be standing beside Izuku, and looked to his side, expectingly to see the greenette frown. Instead, Izuku's eyes were sparkling and his mouth was gaping in surprise. Soon enough, his expression changed from shocked to overjoyed. His mouth stretched into a wide smile as tears pricked his eyes, threatening to fall down. He wiped them away before they could spill and turned around to face the blonde.

Katsuki was relieved once he saw Izuku's reaction. He smiled to himself and let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. Before he knew it, he felt Izuku jump onto him and hug him tightly. Katsuki stilled, surprised by the action, then slowly wrapped his hands around Izuku's back. The greenette looked up at the blonde, chin resting on his chest, and smiled at him, the corner of his eyes wrinkling at how wide his smile was. "Thank you Kacchan. I really appreciate this, so much. It's beautiful." He planted his head back into Katsuki's chest and hugged him tighter. Katsuki reciprocated his grip and even pulled him up from the ground a little. Izuku detached himself and let go while Katsuki grunted when he did so, already missing his touch.

Izuku let out a nervous chuckle and a fit of fake coughs before looking away from the blonde and back at the field. Both boys stayed standing still, waiting for their blushes, which appeared when Izuku hugged the blonde, to disappear. Izuku let out another fake cough before grabbing the blonde and dragging him towards the end of the field and to the picnic.

Both males sat across from each other, not knowing what to say, leaving them in an awkward silence. Katsuki looked at the ground while Izuku was tugging at his flannel and staring at the blonde's hair. He let out a soft chuckle and covered it up by coughing, once again. Kastuki looked up at him with a raised eyebrow which made Izuku let out a nervous laugh as he rubbed the back of his neck. Katsuki rolled his eyes and chuckled lightly. Izuku smiled and layed down on the blanket, staring up at the night sky. He let out a soft chuckle as he admired the stars. "Kacchan, lay down and look at the stars, they're beautiful." Katsuki did what the greenette told him to and layed down beside him, both arms under his head, as he stared at the stars.

After a few minutes of staring up at the sky, Kastuki looked to his side at the greenette, admiring him and his facial features. His eyes glistened as the stars reflected on his eyes and he had a soft smile plastered on his face. Kastuki untangled his hands from behind his head and recahed one of them towards Izuku and started tracing his freckles. Izuku stilled as he felt the blonde's fingers against his cheek. He glanced sideways and saw Katsuki smiling while stuck in a small trance. Izuku's face flushed red, his face competing with Kirishima's hair color as he got goosebumps all over his body.

They stayed that way for awhile, Katsuki still in his trance, not realizing what he's doing, and Izuku staying still, not knowing what was happening but also not wanting it to end. After a few more moments, Katsuki blurted out the last thing Izuku expected from him. "You know, your freckles kinda look like the stars." Izuku's eyes widened as his blush deepened even further. He let out a nervous laugh as he tried his best not to burst. "H-Ho-How s-so?" he stuttered out, nervous as to what the blonde would say next. "Well, just like the stars, your freckles are scattered all over the place, so messy but perfect at the same time. And just like the stars... you could find yourself admiring it for longer than normal." Izuku whipped his head around as he stared at the blonde, eyes wide and face red.

A few moments passed before Katsuki realized what he had done and immediately retracted his hands away from Izuku's face. He quickly sat up and darted his eyes at everything but the greenette. Izuku followed suit and sat up as well, staring at he blonde, trying to find a way to make things less awkward, but he didn't know what to say or do. He was still recovering from Katsuki's words and actions and was still a blushing mess. He breathed in and out, calming himself, the blush finally receding, as he thought of something to lighten up the moment.

He grabbed his phone and began searching for a certain photo. Once he found it, he smiled to himself as he looked back up at the blonde, praying this would work. "You know?" He began, the blonde's eyes making its way back to the greenette. "Your hair kinda looks like this porcupine. The more I think about it, the more I find myself staring at your hair. Heh." Izuku grabbed his phone and held it up in front of the blonde's face to show him the picture of a porcupine he took a picture of when he and his friends went to the zoo. Katsuki's eyes turned into anger as he glared at Izuku. He grabbed the phone out of his hands and threw it on the side. "I COMPARE YOU TO THE STARS AND YOU THANK ME BY DOING THE SAME WITH A FUCKING PORCUPINE?!" Katsuki was now grabbing Izuku by his arms, growling at his comment. Izuku couldn't help but burst into laughter. Katsuki shook his head and chuckled at the greenette. He pushed Iuzku down and huffed. "Tch, asshole." He looked down and noticed Izuku covering his mouth, giving off muffled noises.

Not long after, Izuku's stomach began to growl, which stopped his fit and caused him to look down, embarrassed. Katsuki let out a chuckle as he stood up and walked over to the picnic basket and grabbed the two small meals and tossed one over to Izuku. He sat, criss crossed on the ground as he began eating the food. Izuku muttered out a small "thank you" before opening the lid and enjoying the meal.

The two males were now laying on the grass, having finished eating half an hour ago, in a comfortable silence. Izuku was admiring the blossom trees and the petals slowly falling down, disappearing into the grass while Katsuki was looking up at the stars.

Izuku let out a soft chuckle as he looked up at the stars, now shining brighter than before. "Isn't this beautiful? You can stare at it all night without getting bored, hmm." Kastuki turned his head to face the greenette, a small blush crept onto his cheeks and nose as he smiled softly. "Yeah, it is. Absolutely mesmerizing." Izuku hummed and turned his head to face Katsuki when he noticed the blonde already doing the same. His face flushed, once again, as he quickly looked back up, earning a chuckle in return from the blonde.

Kastuki was now layed up on his elbows, leaning his head back, eyes closed, as his hair was flowing freely with wind. Izuku looked back at the blond and smiled, his blush had returned, but it wasn't as bad as the previous one. Katsuki opened his eyes and glanced over at Izuku. He turned his head fully, now staring straight into his eyes. Both male layed there, not moving, not talking, barely even breathing. The more Katsuki looked at Izuku, the more frustrated he got. He wanted so bad to tell him how he feels. He can't keep this up any longer.

Katsuki looked down, and mentally shook his head, then back up. The second his eyes made eye contact with Izuku's again, he let out a frustrated sigh and abruptly sat up. Izuku shivered a little, surprised at the action and how fast it was, and sat up slowly, along with the blonde. "Kacchan? Are you okay?" The greenette grew a little worried when Kastuki didn't answer. "Kacchan? What's wrong? Di-" "I'm in love with you."
