Mr. Professor and I

I look around to see if our professor is here. "Hey! Rohan, do you have an assignment in our calculus subject?" I asked my friend. He always has an assignment but not always right. Pero okay lang, ako na nga mangongopya ako pa mag rereklamo?

"Yes, I have. You should try to solve it by yourself" pinangaralan niya ako. At syempre hindi ako magpapatalo sa sinabi niya.

"Hey! You know naman that I'm so idiot in calculus. You should teach me! hindi yung puro ka lang tips and advice jan!" I said and raise my one eyebrow to him.

Rohan didn't let me copy his homework. Shet! padating na si Ma'am! ang pinaka kaaway kong professor! After 10 minutes dumating na nga si Ma'am. Okay, I'm dead. Wala 'kong homework, welcome to faculty office again Sovi.

"Good morning class, bring out your homework and please answer the problem A in the board," she said habang tumitingon sa'min, syempre umiiwas ako ng tingin para hindi ako matawag pero kahit anong iwas ko... ako pa din talaga ang nakita n'ya. Bwiset talaga!  "Okay, Ms. Garcia? Solve the problem A in the board please" she said politely pero iba'ng iba yung itsura n'ya, yung itsura na 'Ano may homework ka ba o wala?'

"Ma'am I forgot my homework po" I stand and say it immediately. She crossed her arms in her chest, nako lagot sesermonan nanaman n'ya ako.

"Okay, Ms. Garcia. Come to my faculty office later. After my class." she said pero mukhang kakainan n'ya na ako sa tingin n'ya.

I answered, "Yes ma'am" I seated and put my head down in my table. Sanay na'ko. Sanay na ako na ako palagi ang tinatawag at sanay na ako pumunta sa office n'ya. Makakabisado ko na ata yung buong sulok ng office n'ya.

After the class, I go straight to my professor's faculty. She's waiting for me. She's now wearing her eyeglass, she looks Miss Minchin of Sarah ang munting prinsesa. I laugh because of her looks, I stop laughing when she talks to me angrily.

"Why are you laughing Ms. Garcia? Do you think nakakatawa na andito ka ulit sa loob ng office ko?" she asked.

"No, ma'am"

"Let's talk about your failing grades in my subject. Balita ko you're good in English and Science. Bakit sa Math di mo galingan?"

"Ma'am I'm not good in Math"

"Then study Ms. Garcia! You're a Civil Engineering student. Dapat more on Math pa ang alam mo, you don't need to be too smart. Need mo mag tiyaga sa pag aaral sa subject ko!"

"Yes ma'am" puro 'yes ma'am' nalang ang sinasabi ko sa harapan n'ya. Paulit ulit nalang. Nag aaral naman ako sadyang di ko talaga kaya. Diko gets!

"Hindi kaba napapagod na mapagalitan at mapagsabihan?" she asked me and I look at her

"I'm tired of getting zero's in your subject, I'm tired na lagi nalang ako. I'm tired ma'am" I was about to cry pero hindi ayaw ko. I held back my tears. Ayaw ko ipakita sakanya na umiiyak ako dahil lang sa subject n'ya.

"Ms. Garcia study hard in Calculus. This is the last time I will talk to you"

"Why ma'am? Di mo na ako papagalitan?"

"No. You will have your new professor in Calculus. You will meet him soon" she said. After we talk in her faculty, I immediately go back to my classroom. The good thing is our next prof is not here yet.

I'm listening to music using my pink earpods. I seated on my chair and my face is down to my chair. I was touched by someone. I raised my head to see who's touching me. 

I frowned and said "What?! Abi?!" I asked while raising my one eyebrow.

Joan approached Abi and they both teased me. "Ano musta yung session n'yo ni ma'am? always kayo nag mi-meeting ni ma'am sa faculty n'ya ah? mag aral ka kasi sa math hindi puro Science at English lang alam mo! Hello? Engineering ka!-" Abi suddenly stop when Jason cut her off.

"You both so immature! Talagang nangaasar pa kayo? Hindi rin naman kayo magaling. Masyado kayong mahangin. Umalis na nga kayo!" Jason said with a serious reaction on his face.

"Hoy Jason! Salamat ah! Pero sana kasi ikaw nalang nagpakoypa sa'kin kanina para hindi na ako pinapunta sa faculty ni ma'am" I said and I'm look a bit pissed off of him because he didn't help me too. I cross my arms into my chest and make a dissapointed face. Nagreklamo din ako sakanya tungkol sa nangyari sa faculty ni ma'am na pinagalitan ako sa office, sinermonan and what so ever. Aba! Pinagalitan n'ya din ako?! Kasalanan ko naman daw talaga. Whatever. 

Angel and Bella approached us. They have a mango shake and a burger in their hands. Hindi pa naman recess pero kumakain na agad sila. Inalok nila kami ng pagkain nila pero tumanggi nalang kami ni Jason. Angel, Bella, Rohan, Jason, and I were friends since high school that's why we are super close to each other. Sanay na kami sa pangaasar ng bawat isa sa'min. Madalas mga buraot din sila ng baon, gaya ni Jason. That pig!

"Guys I have news," I said when I remember what ma'am says to me in her faculty. Yung itsura ko ay parang may nakuha akong chismis.

"Ano naman yung balita mo?" Bella asked she's a bit curious now.

"Walang pasok bukas?" Angel said with a wide eyes and smile in her face. Umaasa s'ya na walang pasok bukas. Pero sorry nalang s'ya kasi hindi mangyayari yun.

"No! Not like that. We will have a new professor in Calculus. Sabi sa'kin ni ma'am kaya hindi n'ya na daw ako mapapagalitan pa" I said, I looked happy a bit.

"Talaga? Bakit daw? Nag resign ba si ma'am?" Rohan asked me one after another. Aba! biglang dumating ang isa pang chismosa! bigla nalang s'ya susulpot pag may bagong balita.

"I don't know! Wala naman sinabi na reason bakit s'ya mapapalitan o bakit siya aalis" I said to him.

"Lalaki daw ba yung new prof natin sa cal or babae?" Jason asked me and he looks so excited huh? ano naman kung boy or girl? duh! gusto n'ya lang talaga ng magandang teacher! what a playboy!

Dumating na yung next prof namin. Umayos kami agad ng upo para hindi kami palabasin. While Sir was teaching, I'm thinking. I can't focus on the lesson. Hanggang mag uwian na kami hindi parin ako makapag focus. Kumain muna kami sa canteen bago umuwi, that's our routine every time we go home. We eat palabok, pancit canton with bread, pancit, turon, and many more food. We eat different foods at every end of the class. But not always the same. Bella, Angel, and Rohan went home first. Jason and I were left. After 20 mins Jason left me alone. Inaantay ko pa kasi ang text ni Tita Marga kaya hindi ako agad umuwi.

I am leaving now. I was walking out in the gate when someone bumped me. I didn't look so I didn't saw his face. Habang naglalakad kasi ako nakayuko lang ang ulo ko. Iniisip ko padin kasi kung paano ako makakabawi sa calculus, meron nalang ako dalawang chance para makabawi sa subject na'yon pag bumagsak pa ako. I'm really deads na talaga. Ohmygulaaaay!!

I stop walking and says "Hey you! you bumped me! please be careful next time!" without looking at him. Naaninagan ko lang ang suot n'yang pants at shoes. He's wearing his shiny black shoes it looks like crocodile skin. And his gray pants na may tahing smile sa pinaka baba.

"Ohh... Sorry" he said. I turned my back on him and walked again.

"Whatever" I shouted.
