"Katsuki...I don't think we can win this one," you mumble, taking a breath before releasing another beam of energy at the villain.

With the fall of the Organization of Villains, they released a quirk enhancer drug, tripling the strength of anyone who takes it but cutting their life span in half.

No one would have guessed how many people who would have wanted to get their hands on it until villains started working together, forming groups of over a thousand people. Hundreds were already locked away but this one that you and Katsuki were to fight...it was strong.

You and Katsuki were assigned to this mission as the other heroes were attending the funeral of a beloved retired hero, All Might. The current number one hero, Midoriya, being his successor, was not fit for this mission. It was up to the two of you to stop this villain.

Katsuki was also struggling but with his anger, his quirk was stronger. He was also the number two hero, you being number four after Shouto.

The villain's quirk didn't seem to have a limit as his attacks were relentless, blasts of fire shooting from its hands. It had morphed into some type of fire demon-looking creature.

"We're not losing, dumbass!" he yelled to you, releasing large explosions from his palms.

His muscles must be hurting as he winced slightly, burn marks scattered all over his body. You glanced over at your engagement ring. You and he were to be married in a month's time. Looking at the situation you were in, that was never going to happen.

There was a super move you had been working on with your quirk but if gone wrong, it could kill you.

"Katsuki, back up a little," you instruct. Your palms facing the villain as it laughed at you.

Glaring at it, you released small energy explosions, boosting you into the air before holding your hands together, slowly bringing them apart. The orb of energy between your two palms grew along with the space you put between them.

The glow from the attack was lighting up the night, smokey sky. Your hands retreated from the sides of the orb to where it was in front of you and with a push, it went flying toward the villain.

"Get down, Katsuki!" you shouted, crouching on the ground as he ran over to you, wrapping his arms over you as there was a huge blast from behind. "Please...tell me we got him.." you mumble, slowly rising back to your feet.

There was a sinister laugh from behind you that sent chills down your spine. It stood perfectly fine, the area around it having created another crater.

The glow from the lava-like skin it had to its razor-sharp claws that were as dark as a moonless night. The fear that built up within you was unlike anything you had ever experienced before. Fear of the unknown future that was for the two of you.

You trembled at the sight of it, looking over at Katsuki who was just as shaken by the events as you. Neither of you knew what to do next, the horrifying seen in front of you rendering you unable to think.

A hand reached over, taking hold of your own. Glancing over to him, he gave you his usually cocky smirk. "Let's save the fucking city, dumbass."

You smile at him, giving him a nod before your gaze shifts back to the villain. With one deep breath, you took a step away from Katsuki as he did the same, hands still holding together as sparks of energy and fire flowed around the two of you.

The brightness of your quirks overpowering that of the villains as energy and fire mixed together. Your senses tingling as you raised your hands at the villain. The power the two of you were releasing, being directed toward your intertwined fingers, creating a mass of power.

"You ready?" you ask, eyes not leaving your target. He nodded, certain as he always was. "Let's blow this guy's ass up so that they're piecing him back together for weeks."

You giggle at his words, memories from the USJ training facility filling your mind, overthrowing some of the fear. "Let's!"

The attack released, creating a beam that sped faster than light itself. The force of the attack blowing you backward, your hand leaving Katsuki's as you crashed into the wall of the crater.

Smiling brightly, Katsuki cheered as he saw the villain's lifeless body, yelling swear words at it and sending more small explosions at it. You had won the battle.

He looked back at you, his smile completely leaving his face.

Your body was bloodied, a traffic sign impaling your chest. "We did it..." you cheered weakly, your knuckles turning white from gripping the pole.

"Y/n!" he yells, running over. "Baby, Baby, no!" he shouted, a shaky hand caressing the side of your face. "We did it, Katsuki...we won---we saved everyone," you say, giving him the best smile you could in your condition.

Shaky eyes met your half-lidded ones, the life fleeing your body fast. "You lookin' at this?" you ask, gesturing to the pole. "Don't worry...I've survived worse," you laughed, getting cut off by a bloody cough.

"That's nasty..." you mutter, looking up at him. "Hey, hey, why are you crying? We saved the day like always."

His lips quivered, hands trembling as he cupped your cheeks. "Baby, j-just stay with me! An ambulance will be here soon a-and you'll-"

"Katsuki," you say, interrupting him. His eyes meet yours, his full of tears that were ready to topple over any second now.

You gulp, clearing your dry, bloodied throat. "I want you to find someone again. Make sure they make you happy," you say.

He shakes his head violently, continuing to try and explain how you would be okay. "Please...listen. I'll always be right here..." you say, your hand hesitantly leaving the grip it had on the pole to poke his chest before quickly reattaching to the metal.

"That was cheezy," you laugh, coughing a bit more as you leaned your head back. "Tell Mitsuki...t-that she was the best mom t-to me," you stammer, taking shallow breaths.

"Your mother was always a bitch to you," he jokes, tears racing down his face. "You're not going to die here. Do you hear me?" he says, his voice shaky and breaking as he continues. "J-Just keep breathing for me..."

The blue and red lights shone from behind you along with the sounds of sirens.

"OVER HERE!" Katsuki shouted.

"I love you, Bakugou Katsuki..." you say with a small yet bright smile. He shakes his head, waving over at some medics and releasing an explosion to get their attention.

"I love you..." you repeat.

He glances back at you.

"I love you, too, dumbass but y-you're not going anywhere."

You smile contently before taking one last breath.
