All I wanted to be was a hero, someone who could save other's lives. I didn't have a Quirk, Semblance, or a Sacred Gear, but I wasn't going to let that stop me from being a hero.
Most of the students made fun of me for being powerless, namely Bakugou, Hyoudou, and Cardin.
There were, however, a few that didn't make fun of me for not having powers, either because they were once powerless like me or because they're just decent human beings. Like Midoriya.
I was walking down the hallway during lunch to get some books when I heard people gossiping about me.
"Ugh, why did they even allow him to attend Union? It'll just drag the school's reputation through the mud by having someone who doesn't have powers join the school." I heard one of the students in the hallway say as I got my books from my locker.
This pissed me off to no end. But I chose to bite my tongue and stay quiet, no matter how many times I told the teachers and staff that I was being bullied they never did anything, playing it off as children with powers generally tending to be more rough around each other.
Even if I didn't have any powers I wasn't going to let that stop me, since the day I got here I started training my body to reach its physical peak and learned every martial arts I could.
But I also couldn't let my mind falter, I researched as much as I could, and read as many books as I could find. By the time my first year in Union Academy was halfway done, I had already read a third of the books in the Library.

After I got "home" which was really just a storage room that the school was "nice" enough to give me instead of an actual dorm room, I headed straight to the closet to find one of my abandoned projects.
I then opened my closet door and pulled out a cardboard box filled with projects and gadgets that I had abandoned, after rummaging through it I found what I was looking for.
The portal gun, a device that was meant to rip open holes in the space-time continuum to allow a person to enter other worlds. The metal casing for it was partially rusted and had exposed wiring in some areas, and the glass casing for the energy sphere to power the gun was also cracked and empty, along with the whole thing being an off-white, almost yellow-ish color.
The math for the portal fluid was an absolute bitch to complete so that's partly the reason as to why I abandoned it. Another reason was because the teachers and students were telling me it wasn't possible, that it violated the laws of physics. While I'm over here laughing at them for saying that, so magic doesn't break the laws of physics? What about Quirks? And don't even get me started as to how Sacred Gears work.
But once I looked over the blueprints and math required to build it once more, I saw that it was indeed possible. And so I started building a new portal gun from scratch, occasionally looking at the old design of it for inspiration as to what it would look like.
Of course the new design was much smaller and more compact when compared to the old one, which was heavy and needed two hands to properly hold in place when firing it.

Once I completed it I fired a testing shot at the wall to see if it worked. It worked! I saw a swirling green portal that occasionally let out green sparks of electricity. I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't a little scared about this.
'Well, no time like the present.' I thought to myself as I stepped into the unknown. But not before writing a small note.

"Y/N? Are you here?" Izumi asked as she knocked on the door.
"Maybe he's sleeping." Suggested Ruby.
"If he was then he probably would have woken up by now." Stated Tsuyu as she put a finger to her chin.
"Try opening the door." Ochaco said, prompting Izumi to try doing so, only to find that the door was locked.
"Do you think he...." Izumi started, causing the four to go quiet in concern.
"Y/N, you better be alright in there!" Izumi shouted as she channeled One for All into her left arm and punched the door.
The door splintered apart into a thousand shards as the four ran inside, with Izumi now cradling her broken arm.
The four looked around for a bit before finding a note on your desk.
"He left a note." Izumi Midoriya said as she grabbed a piece of paper with writing on it that was sitting on the desk with her remaining good arm.
"Dear Union Academy, I am absolutely fed up with the dogshit way I've been treated at this school, only for the silly reason of not having any powers. The fact that you haven't done anything about this (despite my multiple pleas for help) just infuriates me. And to the people that stuck by me in these difficult times, thank you so much for being there for me.
Sincerely, Y/N Sanchez"
"He left?" Ochaco asked in worry as she looked at the note you wrote. Which caused the group to trade concerned looks at each other.
