Today was probably the day that I had been dreading the most. I was going to be attending a new school. I didn't have much to lose since I didn't really have any friends. I mean I had school friends that I talked to, but not the kind where you hanged out with outside of school. Plus, it was better for me not to have to wake up so early in the morning to catch the bus. But still, the nerves were really killing me right now.
I was already sitting my second period class and it seems that I was the talk of the school. I guess it was a bit odd to transfer schools near the of the semester during senior year. I haven't seen Charlie or Luke yet. And honestly, Marcus probably skipped school or something. Several people tried to make conversation with me, which I engaged in, but it was mostly bland since I was giving them one worded answers.
Relief settled in me as I heard the lunch bell ring. I highly doubt I'd find the others, but I had a pretty good feeling that they weren't even a part of the same circle of friends since literally no one speaks to each other at the house. Skipping lunch seemed like the better option than having to sit alone in the cafeteria. I guess I could always go to the library and do some homework. Actually, some fresh air seems like what I really need.
If it was possible, I intended to avoid all awkward situation as possible. But that doesn't seem to be happening lately. Curiosity struck in me as I heard the sound of an argument round the dumpsters out back. I knew I should have probably turned around and walked the other way since it was not my business, but my feet were telling me other wise. When I finally saw what all fuss was about, I couldn't help it but groan.
There in sight was Charlie and a couple of other girls who were in an argument. It seemed like the main argument was between Charlie and the brunette who seem to be the ring leader of the other two girl. As stupid as I am, I decided to interfere with the situation. It wasn't good for Charlie to get all heated up, especially now with the baby and all.
"Charlie, you should calm down." I said while trying to hold her back as she almost lunged towards the girl. Charlie completely ignore what I said because she was still giving them the stare down.
"Listen to the new girl, maybe if you didn't keep your legs open like that mouth of yours, you wouldn't be in such a dilemma now would you." Call it a hunch, but I had a instant gut wrenching feeling because I think she was talking about Charlie's pregnancy. I was a bit shock of how cruel that girl's words were, ironically the world is a cruel place itself.
"Listen here you little bitch, I will give you ten seconds to leave or I will hurt you so badly you won't live to see daylight." I wasn't at all taken away by Charlie's words, but I knew that this had to come to an end before we all got into some deep shit.
"Look, I don't exactly know why you guys are fighting, but we should all just walk away and continue on with our day because this is completely stupid and a waste of time." The way the brunette girl looked at me was with absolute disgust. I didn't know what her problem was, but let me tell you this. She looked like a basic bitch.
"Listen here. You guys are unwanted trash who were sent to a foster home because obviously your parent didn't care. All you'll ever be is end up as drug addicts and drug dealers. Face it honey, its tough love. So stop acting like a mediator and just leave." If that girl honestly thought her words affected me, she was deeply wrong. I couldn't help it but to roll my eyes.
"Shut up Karm, you and your little fake ass friends can just take a step back or-"
"Or what Charlie? You gonna show me how great you are, well at least I'm not going to rot in life because I became a teenage mom. Unlike you, I don't have a sign plastered on my head saying slut." I had enough of this, and honestly this bitch needed to put in place. But I wasn't going to do that because I need to stay far away as I can from trouble.
