A cute short story-

I flicked a stray hair out of my face as I slid down the hallway to Snape's class, Potions. I stepped into the room and sat in an open seat. Luna slid in next to me and I gave her a small smile. She was one of my best friends, most people found her weird, but I liked it. I watched her pick out her favorite quill pen and she began to write.

"So how did you sleep last night? after what happened" I sighed after remembering the details. I was trying to perfect the Amortentia potion and ended up with something closer to Draught of Living Death. After one whiff I was out for what seemed like years. I giggled at my idiocy.

"I'm still not entirely sure how I managed to mess that up so horrendously, but I'm alright" The room died down and I looked up to see Professor Snape standing in front of us.

"Class, today we will be perfecting our Amortentia potions once more, since some of you had a rather-difficult time with it yesterday" I didn't have to be a genius to know he was referring to me. We gathered our ingredients lists and opened our books and I gulped as I watched each student add their ingredients to their cauldrons. Professor Snape began to go around the room.

"Lets see whose moving forward today, Malfoy, what does your potion smell like?" Draco held his nose over his cauldron and sniffed, he pulled away and I watched his brows furrow as he thought.

"It smells like cherries...mint..and-" He thought.

"lavender.." I glanced at him and everyone started whispering. Luna had a small smile.

"I wonder who it is.." I shrugged and Snape approached me.

"Miss Wilde" I bent over and smelt the vapors from the potion id created. I closed my eyes and waited. Nothing. I gulped and Professor Snape gave me a sideways glance before turning to Luna. I sat back down and frowned.

What am I doing wrong?!

A few minutes later and most of the students were sitting once more. Class was finally dismissed and we all gathered our things to leave.

"Miss Wilde, wait" Luna shot me a long wide eyed look before mouthing 'good luck' I turned to see Professor Snape standing at his desk. I approached him and he crossed his arms.

"It would seem your having difficulties perfecting a simple attraction potion, I am assigning you a tutor for this evening" I looked up in embarrassment.

"Who is it?" Snape looked behind me.

"Mr. Malfoy, he's one of my best students" I heard footsteps behind me and Draco's voice.

"You want me to tutor her?" Snape glanced behind me at Draco. I felt a sudden disappointment at his disapproval. Snape sighed.

"Yes Mr. Malfoy, unless you have something better to do with your time?" Draco said something under his breath. Snape dismissed us and I turned around to see Draco already heading out of the room. I walked out and sighed. I had perfect grades in every other class except potions, and now my tutor was the Slytherin prince himself. I was a Gryffindor, id always thought they were supposed to be courageous, smart, thoughtful, I was most of the time but I guess I had a minor slip up. I looked up to see Hermione sitting at the Gryffindor table in the great hall. I noticed Luna sitting at her house table and she smiled at me. Hermione called me over and I sat down. She was another great friend when Luna and I couldn't be together due to different houses. Hermione looked over and noticed my facial expression was grim.

"You look like you've seen a ghost" I took a bite of an apple and let out a small huff.

"I wish that was the problem" I noticed a tall slender blonde cross the room sit down at the Slytherin table and I frowned.
