MAYBE IT WAS A MISTAKE to watch the news this morning because all it did was feed a mouthful of anxiety to me.

There have been rumors going around previously before the pandemic was fully announced. Though, I was raised to not believe every rumor. Unfortunately, I  was proved wrong in this instance. Due to the Covid-19 spreading rapidly, and the fact that anyone could be a target to the disease, everyone must start quarantining in their homes. Of course, I immediately thought of my relatives and how school will function through this. It's my senior year! How will I be able to graduate?

"Damn," Hoseok brought me out of my thoughts. I felt a weight dip down on the space beside me on the couch and my brother sighed heavily. "Now I have to be around you impossibly more."

Groaning, I threw my head back and put my hands over my face. "Shut up." Was all I could say in that moment. Too many thoughts were running around my brain as if it was a track and they had miles and miles left to sprint.

"No," he replied, which made me growl and grab the pillow next to me to throw at him. At that, the brunet stuck his tongue out, standing back up and frowned. "But, seriously, what about school? I can't stay cooped up here forever!" He exclaimed, throwing his hands in the air and pacing around the room. At least he cares, I guess.

Mother soon entered the room, one hand on her hip while the other was pinching the bridge of her nose. I already could tell she was stressed and this is only the beginning. For all I know, this quarantine might be the final chord of hers to be struck and then she'll finally lose it. We'll all lose it, actually. Only a matter of time.

"I have to get everything we need before they're all out in stores," she spoke up, stepping farther into the room and picking up a random blanket that fell on the floor. As she folded the blanket, she continued to speak, "Mrs. Kim just called me a few minutes ago. She's stuck in Australia with her husband and she won't be able to come back here until it's allowed — I feel terrible for them." She then sat down on the arm of the couch, passing her hand through her hair.

"So, Namjoon is going to stay with us until then."

"What?!"

Two very distinct yells could be heard in unison after the sentence registered into Hoseok and I's heads. One was filled with joy while the other feigned despair and hopelessness. The latter of the screams was mine. This couldn't get any worst. Not only do I have to deal with Thing 1 but Thing 2 as well now. As I sat there, my expression scrunched up in disgust, Hoseok was pumping his fist in the air and celebrating in relief.
