oh, i long knew it would end like this,

left here in the bar half drunk

with all these champagne problems

"a bottle of whiskey, please."

a minute later i'm flipping it in the air

along with my auburn brown hair

the same trick works on everyone

those poor, ignorant souls

yeah, they whisper in the hallway, i'm a bad, bad girl

they call me over

i pull up a seat

pick a hand of cards

the whole school is rolling fake dice,

downing our bottles,

oh, nobody's gonna win

triple aces do the job

they should know

i'm more than just good at this

we gossip for a while longer,

spill some tea,

leave the stains uncleaned

human are so unpredictable

you never know when

you can only see them in pictures

i turn down their offer to ride shotgun

oh, i never was ready

so i watched them go

i take out my phone and tap my feet

where would it be?

over a cliff, into a blaze, or down a valley?

the call finally comes

they plunged into the river after all

oh, you play stupid games, you get stupid prizes
