"Girls, this is going to be the toughest challenge of our lives. But between the four of us, I think we can do it." Luz said.

Luz walked around a tree where she thought the others couldn't see her and sat on a rock. She grabbed a twig that was on the ground and started to draw in the dirt, dejectedly.

"Hey."

Luz turned her head and saw Amity leaning on the tree.

"Hey, Amity."

"What's the matter Luz?"

"Why would you think somethings wrong?" Luz asked.

"Because I would be a horrible girlfriend if I didn't notice the smallest changes." She sat down next to Luz and put an arm around her shoulder, "What's the matter."

"I've been thinking about what you said. About the magic sack on my heart. Where did it come from? Has it always been there? If so, then why can't I do magic like everyone else? The whole thing is giving me more questions by the minute, but it's leaving out the answer's."

"Well, if you have a magic sack then that mean's your parents have to been witches." Amity said.

"Amity, my mom is definitely not a witch. Up until you showed up half dead on the front step, she didn't even believe in magic."

"What about your dad?" Luz just stared at her drawing, "Luz?"

"I never knew my dad. My mom left him when I was just a baby." Luz said as tears started to flood her eyes.

Amity place her hand on Luz's cheek and gave her a kiss on the lips. They separated and Amity looked into Luz's eyes.

"I promise, once we beat these demons, I will help you find the answers."

"Thank you, Amity. What did I do to get a girl like you?"

"You nearly killed me on several different occasions." Amity said with a laugh.

"Well, I'm not boring."

Luz looked at her drawing and laughed. She drew a light glyph without realizing. Amity noticed and let out a chuckle.

"I guess you needed a little light." Amity said.

"Maybe, but that's why I have you. You Amity Blight, are the light of my life."

They reunited with Willow and Boscha and headed for Hexside. Boscha was focused on the book so they would be prepared for any demon that they ran into.

"Did you guys know there's a demon, it's sounds like Gromethous except instead of shapeshifting into your fear is manifest's it. It's called the Fear Monger" Boscha said.

"I hope we don't run into that then." Willow said.

"If we do then I hope this other demon comes, it's says they're mortal enemies."

"What demon?" Amity asked.

"According to the book it was the first demon. Designed to protect the civilization of the underworld. If it hears someone in danger then it will come to save them. They called it the Protector Demon. Oh, this is interesting, apparently two never look alike, there's always some kind of difference between each member of the species."

A loud growl caught their attention and they sa a large bipedal, human-rat looking creature (Type Humanoid Rat into google and you'll get a bunch of examples). It got on all fours and charged at them. It tried to swipe at them with its claws but Luz pulled out a light glyph and blinded it. They ran to a tree and Luz drew an ice glyph in the dirt. She shot all of them into the tree.
