I instantly saw the nervousness in her eyes and the blush in her cheeks when I said that.
"Rod, stop playing" Zion said while looking down nervously
"Who said I was playing?" I've been developing feelings for Zion ever since we started hanging out 5 weeks ago. She's everything I look for in a person.
After my last relationship with my crazy, delusional ex, I thought I would never be ready for a relationship, but with Zion I am more than ready.
"Cause you always be playing." She chuckled
I walked over from the stove and sat next to her.
"But I'm not playing about this. Zy, I don't know if you noticed it but I really like you and I don't want to pressure you into a relationship, I'll wait whenever you're ready to make this thing official." I said while staring into her eyes.
She took at least two minutes to process what I just said.
" I like you too roddy"
We both stared at each other before we kissed.
Zion blushes. "What you smiling for?" I chuckled
"Dawg, I feel like one of those females in the romantic movies that be all geeked when their crush finally talks to them" She laughed
"So you had a crush on me?"
"You know what let's pretend that you never heard that" She laughed and got up from her chair.
I grabbed her hand.
"You know you're mine too, right?"
Zion walked away blushing with her head down
I don't know if it's the blunts I smoked earlier that's making me this bold or what., but Zion will be mine, that's a fact.

I smiled at Roddy's comment he plays too much.
"Girl what are you smiling at? You've been smiling at that phone for 5 minutes." Ryan said
"Oh, nothing girl you know the usual." I said still looking at my phone
"Mmmhhmm, what's going on between you and Roddy?" Ryan asked
"Ry, yesterday he told me that he likes me and I told him I liked him too. Now we both know wassup with each other." I said happily
"Soooooo you guys didn't make it official yet?" Ryan said
"No, Ry we're taking things slow I guess"
"What the fuck, is taking y'all so long to make it official, you known each other for almost two months?!" Ryan said while shaking my shoulders
"You don't think we're moving too fast?" I asked
"Zy, if it's meant to be, it doesn't matter how long you've known each other. It all works in perfect timing."
"How did you know it was meant to be with Keith?" I asked
"I feel it. The energy was just unmatched."
I nodded. Maybe it is meant to be.

"Fuck them Zy, we have a album release party that still needs a guest list made so let's just make it now"
I laughed. "Yeah, because we both know I will wait until the last minute to make it."
Yep, everything is coming out just how I imagined it.
