UGH!A SLUG!
Dedicated to gardeners
I really detest slugs.
They make me feel queasy.
I would rather have bugs
Although I'm not easy
With either of the two.
And how about you?
Would you prefer an eel?
They really make me squeal.
A slug is slow, slimy,
Leaves a trail like a snail.
When touched, feels so grimy.
The sun shines on its trail,
A sticky trail like glue,
Not so nice on your shoe.
We have had lots of slugs.
I wish they would eat bugs.
This summer was so wet.
We could have lots more yet.
If they would just eat ants
But no, they prefer plants.
They like to eat at night.
Like thugs, stay out of sight.
Under a leaf, good grief!
Please give me some relief?
