You were taking your evening stroll. You, a third year at Karasuno High School. The school that supposedly held the the title of the Flightless Crows, or the Wingless Crows. Honestly, you never really cared about the titles or nicknames. You never did anything worth crowning. You were the point guard of the girl's basketball club, sure, but you guys weren't the reason they had heir reputation. The volleyball club was the reason any school was recognized.

You found yourself walking next to a stream. Looking into the water, you kept smiling to yourself. You had another game the next day. This one would tell you if you were able to continue on, or leave your third year without going to Nationals. Sighing through your nose, you stiffened as you heard a mewl. Looking up into the tree next to you, you found a cat stuck on one of the taller branches.

Groaning, you look from side to side. No one around. You were nearly sickened at the thought of climbing up. Your worst fear, was heights.  Slowly slipping off your bag, you placed it at the trunk of the tree before crouching down and jumping, grabbing onto the lowest branch and hoisting yourself up. You looked down smiling. Not that far. You continued to reach up and up, climbing and climbing until you came to where the cat was. It was pure white with soft gray paws and ears. It's eyes were a deep blue. The cat mewed softly before jumping into your arms.

"You're so soft..." You whispered. Looking down, you froze, starting to tremble as you saw how far you were. Holding the cat closer, your fear froze you still. Letting out a squeak, you clutched the branch you were on. "Oh dear..." You let out another squeak as the wind blew, causing the branch to shift.

"Hey there!" You stiffened as you looked down. The voice came from a boy with silver hair and a kind gaze. He was leaning against the tree, his smile warm. "You need some help?"

"W-w-what m-m-m-makes you s-s-say th-th-th-that?" You stammered. The cat squirmed beneath her grip.

"Your gripping that cat and the tree like your life depends on it." You grimaced before you felt on of your hands slip. You squealed as you looked down at him with fear. "Hey now, look, can you move at all?"

"WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?!!?!!" You screamed. He flinched before holding out his arms. "What?"

"Jump." He stated simply. You opened your mouth to scream again before you caught how bright his smile was. "I'll catch you both, I promise." Your lip quivered as your leg moved off the branch. It was a good five foot drop down. You almost felt like vomiting. Slowly but surely, you felt yourself slipping off the branch. Gasping for breath, you squealed once more as you slipped. Falling, you clutched the cat with all your might bracing for the impact.
