The Way Things Work

A few days after arriving in Germany, Isabella sat in the living room watching Kimari and Amelia play with their toys.

Jeremias was out of the day with his brother, Logan, Ian, and Caleb, doing god knows what. The only thing she knew that had a mission that Jeremiah send them on.

It was no telling how the shit was going to turn out. Gabriel was crazy and liked to shoot first then ask questions. Ian wasn't too far from him; she knew and Jeremias as liable to kill everyone if someone pissed him off.

Caleb is a bit on the quiet side, but Isabella knew his ass was just as crazy as his brothers. As for Logan, he hadn't shown any signs of crazy that she knew of.

It was funny how Jeremias always told her she had changed. Hell, he did to maybe it was only to her, but in a way, she loved this side of him, and then again, it scared her just a little.

Isabella also was trying to get used to seeing Ian in the past few days. He was different, different in a good way

He and Tara was a good fit for each other, although the girl seems fucking scared of her damn self. It first, she thought it was her being sketchy, then Giselle did her detective stuff and found out she was clean.

Still, they had to find out why the Hyenas were after them. All three women claim to know nothing about them. Either one of them was lying, or they choose the wrong ones to fuck with.

Each day, Jeremias worked on making their mafia bigger and stronger, working with other mafias in Germany, which his father hated.

It was her dad who told him that he had to trust his son's decisions. He was handing the mafia over to Jeremias and her, and he needed to let them do what they thought was right.

Giselle, on the other hand, encouraged him to do so. She said it was his father's stubbornness that kept the mafia from growing. One of the reasons Giselle was hell bend on making Ian and his family join them.

They had connections ones that they could get it they tried on their own. Now those connections were theirs, making them one of the strongest mafias in the world. So, to speak. They now had all the connections they need in the U.S.

Ian was also working hard to get his job back as senator. Why? She didn't know. Jeremias talked a lot about him running California while living in Germany. To him, it was the perfect way to keep an eye on what was going on there.

There was so much stuff going on that Isabella has yet to understand slowly she was, and still, she wasn't ready for what was coming in the next few days.

In three days, she and Jeremias would be officially Don and Donna of The Scorpions, and Nadia was running around planning a big ass party for their fucking crowning as they call it.

Isabella felt that they were getting married all over again. She had to wear a white dress that looked almost like a wedding dress. Once again, Jeremias would be in white, but except saying vows to each other, they were saying an oath pledging themselves to the mafia.

Not only them, but her dad, Grace, Ian, and the rest also had to do the same, and for Jeremiah last and finally act as Don. He was forcing Nadia to marry Caleb and Gabriel to marry Iris, bounding their families.

Isabella also thinks he was about to marry off Monica to his nephew Justin, who married her and Jeremias, and Tracy to another nephew. He also mentioned something about Ian and Tara, and the fact about Logan needs someone himself.

To Jeremiah, they looked stronger if they had someone standing beside them. A strong woman made the man stronger because he knew he has someone to fight for. So, it would surprise her if his next arranged marriage was her dad and Grace.
