I Survived.

Chapter Nine.

I was allowed to see Chris but only keep it short because he needs to rest. He's still not awake and that scares the shit out of me.

I sat on the chair and touched his hand. Seeing him in those machines was painful. I started telling him how i feel. Which goes like this:

Hey Chris it's me Nicole. Your baby girl. I'm really sorry for what happened to you. It's all my fault and I'm to blame. I just want you to wake up and come back to me. I miss your voice. I just wanted to tell you that i love you and i want to be in a relationship with you. I was in denial. I made a bet with Nevin that if i fall for you I'll give him $25 thousand dollars and if i don't he will give me $30 thousand dollars. It's crazy i know right. *smiles* i just wish i could trade places with you and lay there. I feel bad for what happened to you. My birthday was ruined and i never wanna experience something like that again. My parents know that i love you,i told them and they have no issue about that. Mom even admitted that she likes you. So i guess they've somehow given us their blessings. I feel like things would have been different if i didn't date Paul. Please wake up for me. I need you.

Before i could finish his parents came through the door.

"What are you doing here"!? His mom yelled.

"I came to see Chris" I said looking down.

"No you came to finish what you've started since your boyfriend didn't do a better job"!! She yelled.

"Celia no,please calm down" His father said.

"No don't touch me Daniel. If Chris didn't become friends with her none of this would have happened" She said crying.

I decided to leave before the doctor escorts us. I guess this is the end of seeing Chris. His mom would never allow me to see him.

I guess I'm paying for Paul's actions. Still no updates about his whereabouts. My heart is broken. I still haven't open the gifts. They are still in my room.

I called Nevin to pick me up. I slept the minute i got in his car.

I woke up and found myself in my bed. All i remember is getting in Nevin's car.

I went to the living room and sat down. It was around 15:00. Everything just reminded me of Chris.

Tears were coming out faster than they could. I kept looking at our pictures. The one's we took at his house.

As i sat there crying,i received a call. I didn't even know who it was i answered.

Me: Uhm hello.

Caller: Hy Miss Carter. It's Doctor Abraham.

Me: Oh yes hy Doctor. Is everything okay?

Doctor: Yes in fact I've got good news for you. Your brother is awake.

Me: Really? That's wonderful news. I'll come by when i get a chance.

Doctor: No problem. Good bye.

Me: Bye.

She ended the call. Chris is awake? What if he heard what i said? What if he heard me fighting with his mom?
