The sun started rising above the horizon, setting dawn awake, the light bulb flickers on the white painted porch of Melanie's cozy home.

It's rough to get through to here, but it's worth it. Sometimes I still can't believe what I see through these windows.
He finally makes his way through the thorny bushes, the black suit he wears makes it difficult for the thorns of the rose bushes to impale through into his skin. He then crouches down, making his way to her bedroom window.
Eyup, there they are.
The woman and the animatronic bear.

He'd seen almost all the maintenance checks and battery replacements, he knew exactly
how to shut the bear down, and that it's easy to distract.
Ah, Melanie uhh, I'm still unsure about her last name, but I know for sure that her name's Melanie.
Ah, Melanie, the top of the class graduate in robotics, spending almost a decade to know it all and she used her knowledge for this.
I mean, it's not a bad idea, to build an animatronic companion during these days of quarantine. But unfortunately for her, I exist, and I know, and I just can't help myself but to oblige at least one of the experimental ideas I have floating around in my head.

He pulls out an usb stick from a belt pouch, looks at it then looks through the window.
The biege and soft red bear leaning forward at the foot of Melanie's bed, presumably giggling at her bed head.
He easily locates the usb port behind the bear's left ear.

There.

With this, I can see what happens when there just happens to be something wrong with Melanie's precious Blake.
From that moment I saw it from the sidewalk, the bear in her living room window, I just had to investigate.

He continues to watch them, then follows them to the kitchen windows, luckily it's still kinda early for the neighbors, he knows he won't get caught. A side window next to the table, Melanie's porch light doesn't reach to there, he can't be seen.
