Deku pov

It's been about 11 years or so since I joined the QAA. Our uniform is strict. A black and orange suit, the size updated with every inch we grow. If we choose to wear a hat, it is to be worn correctly. Not backwards, tilted or sideways.

In those past years, I've met some good friends.

There's Himari, who's code name is Bear, Yua, who's code name is Thousand, Ahmya who's code name is Weather, and finally Shinjiro who's code name is Wave. At the academy, we're known as the Alphas, with me at the top, carrying the code name Deku.

It's gotten to the point where we can barely remember our birth names.

At the moment, I'm sitting in equine studies. I listen to the teacher, Bear and Thousand passing notes to each other. I roll my eyes, hearing Bear chuckle. "Bear, is there something funny?", Mr. Takahashi says sternly. "No, sir.", she answers.

At the academy, we were taught to be stripped of all emotion except for anger and malice. We used to get punished for laughing, our clothes stripped away and our food served cold.

Just imagine. Not being able to laugh for years, only on certain occasions.

I sit silently, listening to the birds chirp outside. Mr. Takahashi drones on, leaving me bored to death.

When class finally gets out, I am confronted by the Mistress of the academy. "Come with me.", she orders. I nod and follow her, my footsteps not making a single sound, as if my presence had been erased. "I see you've mastered that technique.", the Mistress says. "It usually takes longer for others. You are quite the remarkable child."

She sits me down in her office, hands tented. "The Alphas are to go on a new assignment.", she starts. "You will guard a class in U.A. High School. There have been reports of suspicious figures on school grounds, apparently armed and dangerous. You'll be staying on campus, attending the school until the assignment is complete."

I nod my head, jotting down every last word in my head. "You leave this friday and uniforms arrive on Thursday. Good luck to you.", she says with a bow. I bow back, exiting without a word and a mind full of new information.

I head to the dormitories and stop by Wave's room where the Alphas are waiting. "Deku!", they yell. "Calm down. I just came because we have a new assignment. We have to guard a class in U.A. High School. We'll be staying in their dormitories and attending their school until we have the word that our work is done.", I announce.

They nod, their faces suddenly serious. I leave their room, shutting the door behind me. I walk to my dorm, sighing and shutting my eyes for a moment. At times, I try to remember what happiness feels like. From the time I've arrived to now, I've laughed a total of once, not wanting to receive the punishments. .

I step inside my room, untying my tie and slipping off my uniform. I fit a big gray shirt over my head, feeling comfier than before. I start on my homework and daydream about tomorrow.

When tomorrow finally comes, I get changed into my gym clothes. This is what I wait for everyday. Assassin training.

Everyday, we train a different technique, or we combine them all together into a duel.

Monday is target practice, Tuesdays are "hide and seek", Wednesday is strategy theory , Thursdays are capture training and Fridays are duels.

Wave and Weather walk by me, trying their best to not chat while Bear and Thousand are having a full on conversation. We head to the training grounds where we meet Sir. The rest of our class consists of lesser ranks and He stands at the front of our class, hands behind his back, hiding today's capture weapon.

"Listen up! Today's weapon is a scarf, so better get thinking cause we start now! Deku you're with Bear, Flower you're with Thousand, Weather you're with Rain, and Wave you're with Bind.", Sir announces.

Flower, Rain and Bind were our other classmates, though they weren't nearly on the same level as us. We didn't talk often, due to being in different grades. But in assassin training, grade didn't matter.

At the school, there were only a handful of children, since accepting is a rate of 2.5%. Only about 10 kids were in each grade, each child stoic and even a bit broken.

Well, that's besides the point. At the moment, I am holding a black scarf with Bear standing in front of me, smirking and gripping her scarf tightly.

"Begin!"

Bear rushes towards me while I move off to the side with incredible speed, barely even showing that I ran at all. It looks more like teleportation, if I'm going to be honest. Bear stops short, running towards me, scarf in hand.

As soon as she's within range, I wrap the black scarf around her face, restricting her sight. I pull the scarf back, pulling her head back with it. Her back slams into the ground while I straddle her, holding down her chest so that she can't get up.

"Huff, huff...That was the first thing we learned, wasn't it?", she pants. Sir looks at me, declaring me the winner of my match. "Yeah, I guess it was.", I answer nonchalantly. "I'm just surprised that you remember.", Bear says, raising an eyebrow. I shrug it off, handing my scarf back to Sir.

Bear and I sit on the sidelines, watching the others attempt to capture each other.

Once the others are finished, we listen to our corrections and demonstrate them in front of him.

After capture training, I head back up to the school and pick up our uniforms. I then walk to Bear's dormitory where all the others are waiting. "Hey, dip shits. I've got our uniforms.", I say, tossing the uniforms out. "Hmm. Not what I expected...", Thousand says. I roll my eyes at her as we all begin to get dressed into the uniforms to check the fit.

I look at myself up and down, the collar feeling a bit tight on my neck. I slip off the tie and unbutton my shirt a bit, just enough for me to look professional, but good looking at the same time.

"Damn, Deku. You don't look half bad.", Wave teases. I snort and take a look at Bear. Her curves are accentuated by the blazer, making me internally blush. I shake away the feeling with a shake of my head.

The next day, we head out of the academy, taking a good look at our home. I mean, who knows when we'll be back.

We take the train to U.A., getting a few stares from strangers. We walk silently, our footsteps untraceable and completely quiet.

We step on school grounds, immediately greeted by who I assume is the principle and a teacher. "Thank you for agreeing to protect our school.", the mouse like thing starts. We nod and follow him inside. "You'll be guarding class 1-A, a class full of fledgling heroes. Now, I'll leave you to it.", the principle says.

We open the door and all eyes shoot to us. But there are one pair of eyes that get my attention. Crimson red eyes, lighting up and scanning me for something. "Can I help you?", I ask. The student stands up, walking shakily over to me.

"D-deku...?"

Wow. Two chapters in a day. You know, this story has been alright so far! I mean, its definitely something that will get more interesting as it continues, but right now it's kind of mellow. Anyways, I hope y'all are doing well! Love y'all sm!
