Bruce's pov

"What do you mean you have been in an accident" I almost yell into the phone

"Is Avery alright"

"What the fuck, I'm on my way text me the hospital immediately" I grab my coat and car keys before leaving my office

"Cancel all my appointments for the day Paige" I yell almost sprinting towards the elevator

"Yes sir" she replys but I was distracted as a message came into my phone thankfully it was a text Malic sent me telling me the address of the hospital.

Once the elevator opened up I didn't waste time before I jumped into my car and speeding away towards the hospital, luckily the hospital was about 15 minutes from my office.

"Hi I'm looking for an accident patient that was just brought in" I say to the nurse working at reception

"Rosalia Ramonds?"

"Yes that's she"

"Unit 301 but at this moment she is in surgery" nodding my head I take the stairs two at a time once on the 3rd floor I quickly spot Malic,  a sleeping Avery in his arms, a lady and man who I haven't seen before

"Malic" I say getting his attention

"Mr Johnson" he replies with a stiff nod

"What exactly happened" I ask and he visibly tensed up

"I was just reaching the school coming to fetch miss Avery when our of no where Miss Ramonds walk in front of the car I tried gaining control but I bumped into her with great impact" he was looking at his feet with so much sadness in his face

"Are you here for Miss Ramonds" a man I assume is a doctor came asks

"Yes" the lady says I swear her face is familiar

"Miss Ramonds has a problem though the surgery was successful we discovered that she has cancer"

"What do you mean she has cancer" the lady once again says

"She actually has breast cancer, luckily it is still at the earliest stages and with a little chromotherapy she should be cured although we have to wait for her to wake up from the coma before we start any treatment" he explained

"What are the odds, Lia is so unlucky" the lady wipes into the man chest beside her

"What do you mean" I ask confused

"Today is when Lia's mom passed away from breast cancer a year ago and now she is being diagnosed with the same thing that killed her mom" the man explained

"Ohh I see" was all I could say suddenly feeling uneasy

"Is there a family member you can inform" the doctor asks

"Well we have to search for them, I know before the accident she had a heated convo with her father after he left the office she also left thats when the  accident happened as for her brother he hasn't been in contact with her for a year now" the lady explains

"We need a family member here before we continue with any procedure"

"That's won't be a problem doc just continue treating her I'll take care of the bills and finding her family" he nods at my words before walking away.

"I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier, I'm May Brown and this is my husband Drew brown I work with Lia while Chad is our doctor for the creche" she says

" I see, I'm Bruce Johnson Avery's father" I say shaking the couple in front of me

"Do you have any idea where her father might be"  I ask trying to find an easier way of starting my search

"Honestly after the heated argument they had I'm not sure he would be anywhere around" she says sadly

"No problem I'll find him, Malic let's leave for now there is nothing we can do until she wakes up" I say, immediately Malic carry Avery who surprisingly was asleep and walked towards the elevator

"Thank you for helping Lia out she has really had it rough for a while now, she doesn't deserve this no one does but I pray everything gets better" May says as a sob threatens to escape her, with a small nod I join Malic and Avery in the elevator ready to get ro start searching.
