CODE RED. PLEASE EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY. CODE RED PLEASE EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY...
"Captain Ferrah! What are we going to do?" A young cadet yells, his voice panicking.
"I sent out a distress signal, it is urgent to repair the oxygen tanks on B7 and C7 wing NOW or it will become systemic."
Fucking meteorites... can't go a month without repairs on MY ship. Captain Ferrah writes in a code into the database and steers her ship away from oncoming meteorites. Her pale skin glistens in sweat. The ship rumbles beneath her feet.
"Oxygen levels are rapidly decreasing Captain!" Another cadet barges into the cockpit, this time a young girl, with an oxygen mask muffling her words. "What do we do?"
"What percentage Lillian?" Ferrah doesn't break focus on her steering, clearly annoyed with the current situation.
"thirty-two percent, captain... we have about 20 minutes until we are depleted of our oxygen source" Lillian's breaths are deep and slow, trying not to use all the oxygen left. But before Captain Ferrah was able to say anything, Another ship slows down next to us.
"Finally someone picked up our distress call!" Ferrahs relief quickly dissipated when she saw that It was the AURIGA 37 ship who is lead by the Alex Faun.
"Everyone get your suits, we are evacuating, " Ferrah reports through the intercom and quickly everyone crams at the exit door that is now connected with the AURIGA. Ferrah walks in front of her members as she enters the neighborship she is greeted by him.
"Alex Faun..." Ferrah crosses her arms, leaning back on her left foot. He's really grown since the last time I saw him...
"Ferrah..." Alex combs his pitch-black hair with his gloved fingers and sighs. "I never thought of you as someone who would wreck their ship hmm?" Alex raises his eyebrow with a slight grin plastered on his face.
"I did not wreck my ship, a meteorite hit our oxygen tanks while I was off duty" She explains while straitening her back, hands on her hips.
Her crew quietly walks away. "Don't worry I'll have my ship working in no time."
Alex walks away without another word to tend to other businesses. Ferrah makes way to get repair tools.
As the day came to an end Ferrah is escorted to a guest room. She removes her all-black uniform and walks to the shower and waits for it to heat up as she undresses the rest of her clothes, she steps in and lets the water rinse all her day's stress.
Soon enough she was in bed. Ferrahs eyes were slowly getting heavier, looking at the stark black bedroom. Her dreams started engulfing her...
"Mother... Father... I need to talk to you about something." A younger version of Ferrah nervously picking at her nails. Her hair was long and white, always messy as she plays outside with the boys. Her skin never tanned, she was like a ghost but her personality was always roaring, echoing through the halls. Everyone would look at her weirdly but she never cared.
"What is wrong Ferrah?" Her mother sits down in front of her. The father, Oron, stands leaning on Morges chair.
Ferrah takes a deep breath and looks up to her parents. "I want to join the Cadet Space Officials Program. And I know what you're going to say. But this is what I want! I've already taken the entrance exam and passed!" Ferrah explains excitedly.
"You did what!?" Oron yells in disbelief. "Without telling us? You are only 17 years old Ferrah! For Fucks Sake!" Morges is sitting there, speechless, just covering her mouth and shaking her head slightly.
