author's note: thank you for the request, anon! hdjdksjfkf i'm sorry that this is so short (like me) huhuhu i am legitimately delusional and losing brain cells from staying up so late just to finish this (it's quarter to 5 am here). trying out a third person's pov bc y'all know that i use first person pov and its weird lmao. i actually haven't watched one of finn's live streams bc i'm in a different timezone and i usually don't have the time to watch it on youtube and all.

"hey guys! how are you guys doing?" finn asks and in less than a minute, thousands of messages pop up saying that they are fine and asking how he is doing. "i'm good, guys! thanks for asking."
a viewer asks why he's live streaming and he answers, "i'm bored out of my mind. so, that's why i'm doing this instagram live."
although finn asked his viewers how they were doing, he only wanted to know how one person was doing and that person is his girlfriend, (y/n) who is away overseas to study.
they haven't seen each other for months and they've been missing each other so much. skype, facetime, and calls aren't enough for them.
finn and (y/n) have a long distance relationship and although it's hard, they keep their love for each other strong. plus,
(y/n) visits finn during long weekends and breaks and vice versa.
finn continues to interact with his viewers, asking them questions, telling them stories, and playing his guitar as mac demarco plays in the background until a certain message from a viewer catches his eye.
he scrambles to get his phone, his hopes getting high as he scrolls up to find the message and he smiles when he sees it.
(y/u/n): i am offended that when i'm not around, you play mac demarco and when i am around, you play your own songs >;(
a chuckle escapes his lips and he waves to the camera. "hello to you too, (y/n)." finn's viewers also greet (y/n), some even asking as to why she isn't in finn's live stream.
(y/u/n): i'm stuck in classes fam send help
"then if you're in class, why are you watching my live stream and not listening to your teacher?" before (y/n) sent her message, several messages pop up joking that finn sounds like a mom and like steve in season 2 of stranger things.
(y/u/n): teacher is boring. would rather listen to you ;)
a blush creeps on his cheeks as he playfully rolls his eyes. even though finn and (y/n) have been together for long, finn still get flustered at (y/n)'s flirting and cheeky jokes.
"you better not blame me if you fail your class. plus, why didn't you just text me?"
(y/u/n): you legit take 12 business days to reply to my texts
"shut up." he shakes his head as he chuckles. "don't listen to her, guys. i don't know why she won't just text me."
"why don't you just ask me yourself?" finn turns around and he nearly drops his guitar when he sees (y/n) leaning against the door frame of his room, arms crossed and a bag at her feet.
"(y/n)!" finn puts aside his guitar, abandons his live stream and runs to his girlfriend, pulling her into a tight hug. he wraps his arms tightly around her back as she wraps her arms around his torso. he can't believe that he was hugging her after months of being apart.
"but i thought that you were in your class?"
what finn didn't know was that while he was live streaming, (y/n) was making her way to his house to surprise visit him. she even debated with herself if she'll watch finn's live stream or not because it might blow her cover, but she still watched it nevertheless.
when arrived at finn's house, she texted nick that she was there (he was in the plan because (y/n) promised to buy him some food) and he helped her get to finn's room without making too much noise.
"i've missed you so much," finn says. "i missed you too," (y/n) replies.
when they pull away from each other, finn kisses (y/n)'s forehead before pulling her to his previous spot, introducing her to his viewers with his arm around her shoulders.
