─── • ° *。✧ ──You stepped down the stairs of the Wolfhard house, hand on the railing as you swiftly hopped down each step. The long, mid-thigh you wore shirt flowed with you as you reached the last step, the sleeves on the top extending past your hands and hanging off your arms. It was definitely too big for you, but seeing as though no one except Finn and his family would see you, you really didn't care.
You took your time as you made your way to the living room, Finn most likely being there, by swinging your arms out and examining the picture covered walls around you. The baby photos of Finn made you smile, a tingling feeling overcoming your whole body. You had no idea how you got so lucky to have Finn as your boyfriend of nearly two years now, but you'd be insane to take him for granted.
Finn's dad was leaving the kitchen as you turned the corner, a mug in his hand. He smiled once he saw you. "Morning, Y/n,"
"Morning," you said back, your voice quiet. You have yet to truly be yourself around his family. You were naturally a shy person, only letting your inner self out once you got to know someone. You've talked to his parents multiple times now, yet you still get shy around them.
You were a bit nervous when they told you that you would have to stay with them as there was a pandemic, and that you couldn't go home until it was officially over. You were upset that you wouldn't be seeing your family for a long time, but overtime, the Wolfhards quickly became your second family. You realized that they cared about you and adored you after you spent a month and half at their house due to the quarantine.
You sent his dad a smile, which he returned, before turning to the left and walking into the living room. There you found Finn, who was laying on the couch, half his body on the actual couch, the other half on the ottoman. He was scrolling through his phone before he looked up and saw you standing in the doorway.
"Hey, stalker," he said with a smile, extending his arms out, signaling he wanted a hug.
You didn't reply, just smile at him as you fall onto the couch next to him, wrapping your arm around him and resting your head on his chest. His arms wrap around you, his chin resting on top of your head.
"I'm bored," you mumbled after a while of him holding you. "I wanna do something." You say and sit up, resting your elbow on the back of the couch.
"Hi, bored. I'm Finn," he says, immediately smiling after he saw the look you gave him.
"Very funny," you say and reach over to touch his hair, running your fingers through it. "Your hair is getting long, you should let me cut it again." You had already cut his hair twice during the quarantine. You were surprised he actually let you near him, but his hair turned out pretty decent both times.
"No, anything but that," he groaned and threw his head back, leaning it on the back of the couch. You laughed, lightly hitting his arm."Okay, what do you want to do?" He asked and you bit your lip as you thought of something.
"I have an idea," you say as you lean towards him, Finn's lips forming a sly smile.
"Yeah? What's that?" He asked as he also leaned closer to you.
"Lets go," you start as you were inches away from him. "bake a cake!" You pull away from him and jump up from the couch, running out of the room. You could hear Finn groan and laugh quietly to yourself.
You finish getting all the ingredients out just as Finn finally enters the kitchen. "Jeez, took you long enough," you say as Finn walks over to you, his arms wrapping around you.You laugh but hug him back, patting his chest before pulling away and beginning to make the mixture for the cake.
You'd been baking a lot during your time at his house. It was a good way to pass the time. That and doing schoolwork, which Finn tried to help you out with as much as he could.
After about an hour and a half, the cake was decorated and done. The top of the cake had a blue icing pattern on it, something you were secretly proud of yourself for doing. The sides had green and yellow lines, which actually just looked like scribbles, Finn's cake decorating skills not being all that great. It was still a moment you'd cherish for as long as possible, though.
After you both cleaned up the kitchen, you grabbed the green icing bag and put some icing on your finger. You brought it up to your mouth and started applying it to your lips as though it were lipstick.
"Hey, Finn," you call out to him as you turn around. He looks at your green lips and starts to laugh.
"Oh, wow,"
"I think something is wrong with my lips," you say and walk over to him. He holds back a laugh as he puts his hands on your hips.
"I think there just might be," he says back and you laugh, breaking the character you were attempting to be.
You smile at him before pressing your lips to his. He kissed back and you both stayed like that before you reached behind you and grabbed the icing bag, discreetly getting some on your hand before breaking the kiss and smearing the green icing on his mouth.
He stood there in shock for a few seconds, not understanding what just happened.
"There, now we're matching," you say and turn around, tossing the bag on the counter. When you turn back around, you're met with a face full of blue icing. Your mouth opened in shock as you wiped the icing away from your eyes. "You did not just do that."
"Oh, but I did," he said and threw the bag on the counter before rushing out of the kitchen.
"Oh, you're so getting it," you yell as you run after him.
