Love and Affection.

That's what the color pink, mainly, symbolized. Johnny made it a point to tell Jaehyun this before the teacher walked in and sent them to their assigned seats. Their new one's.

As of last Wednesday, the class underwent a seat change. It was only a matter of time. The teacher thought the seniors could be the responsible young adults they were learning to become and sit in the spots they chose, but ultimately they were too immature. Instead of focusing on the lessons, they messed around with friends. The two best friends were a guilty party in the situation.

Now Jaehyun and Johnny sat on opposite sides of the room. Johnny was still near the windows sitting with a shorter Chinese male. He tried to remember the name Johnny mentioned. For some reason, only numbers crossed his mind.

Choosing not to dwell on it for so long, he looked at the empty seat next to his and felt the familiar warmth light up to his ears. He tried not to hyperventilate as a pink-headed Taeyong walked over. He happily plopped next to Jaehyun. Now he knew why Johnny said what he said at the beginning of class.

His heart nearly leaped out of his chest, and he felt sweat clam up his hands. He was barely able to be near the older with green hair. How was he supposed to sit next to him with the pretty pink lighting up his favorable features?

"Hi!" Taeyong greeted while flashing a big and dazzling smile. It was the loveliest sight he ever saw. He felt he could melt in his seat. A pathetic puddle would replace the timid boy. Pink lips as bright as the said boy's hair seared their way into Jaehyun's memory. Radiance blessed his eyes.

He swore he was staring at an angel.

Before he could muster up his response, the teacher spoke. Of course. His moment to work up the courage to, finally, talk to his crush was snatched. Ms. Kim's annoyingly high pitched voice reverberated from one ear to the other. It was enough to give him a headache.

She adjusted her huge ass dark-rimmed glasses before reading off the roll call. She also had to memorize the change and make sure the students were sitting where they were supposed to. "I like your hair color," Jaehyun quickly whispered before she called the last name. He almost tripped over his words.

"Huh?" Either Taeyong didn't hear him or was surprised his seatmate spoke for the first time.

Jaehyun got out his notebook. He didn't sit next to the window anymore. So he had to look cooperative and wrote down the notes by himself. He tore a corner of the paper off and wrote down what he said. Not having the nerve to talk again, he quickly flicked it onto Taeyong's side of the table.

- I like your hair color:)

Focusing on writing his notes, he almost missed the paper flying back to him. He picked it up and read it.

- Thank you. I think it's cute,, like you.

He was going to have a heart attack. The way his heart was palpitating unnaturally fast was an indication it might happen.

Being distracted by class gave him an excuse to ignore the note.

As he did the practice pages, his hands trembled in anticipation. His pencil markings came out darker than usual due to his death grip. Feeling the pencil dig into the soft skin of his palms helped hold him onto reality.

But as class neared an end, reality became more unsettling. As if it was taunting Jaehyun, the paper stared right at him, burning a hole through his face.

Growing a pair, he wrote.

- Not as cute as you.

He threw the scribbled words before he could chicken out. Then the bell rang, and he stood up so fast the table almost flipped over. His body moved at the speed of sound as he quickly collected items and dashed to his best friend.

"Call an ambulance." Jaehyun dramatically collapsed in Johnny's arms and fanned his burning face.

All Johnny could do was give him a confused eyebrow raise and throw him off of him. "What the fuck is up with you?" The tall boy noticed his seatmate quietly leave and frowned.

Jaehyun noticed, but he needed to tell Johnny about his predicament. He was dying too. But first, he grabbed Johnny's sleeve and dragged him out of the classroom and into the hallway. Then he eyed the area, making sure a specific someone wasn't around before he spilled the tea. And boy, was it pipping hot.
