By definition melancholy means a feeling of pensive sadness, typically with no obvious cause.
The average person knows this feeling as it's experienced by many at some point during their lives, others are best friends with the feeling.
Melancholy is not given nearly enough credit, for it may be a sad feeling with no explanation or reasoning however everyone does believe there is beauty written in the cracks of a broken heart, even if that heart is broken from breath.
A broken heart with no cause, honey that's the mystery of melancholy. No rhyme nor reason, just sad
