Breakfast and a Walk through

I knew I shouldn't have gone with them. But there was just this nagging voice at the back of my head urging me to go, so to shut the thing up I went. And man did I make the wrong decision.

I know that they were gonna do something stupid, but I didn't want to know what. So when we ditched our car, and joined the line a burger king, I died of embarrassment. Yes, the people in the cars saw us, and yes they honked, also they shouted. But what did the boys do? Flip them the finger. Brandon went as far as to moon one of them. I pray that no child was in the car.

Because they knew that I was bound to run away, Eric kept his arms on my waist. So I covered my face and moaned. Soon we ordered and moving up to pay for the food. When the lady saw us, her face instantly fell well because it was no one other than Melany.

Yes, your probably thinking 'isn't Melany rich?'

Yes, yes she is. But my guess is that her family realized she had no ambition and that she just wasted their money. So, she had to get a job. And coincidentally, we just walked in on it. Smiling shyly at her, I intended to just order and leave but apparently Eric and the twins had other plans and that was to make her life hell.

Taking out a phone they started to video her.

"So Melany Fields, how much is for our order?" Eric's leaned on the glass, ignoring all the cars behind him beeping.

Holding down her head she mumbled a price but, Eric only touched his ear and fakes deafness.

"Eh? Speak into my hearing aid. I'm a old man." His voice sounded like someone who was denied air, but that didn't stop me from laughing.

"$19.55¢," She gritted, still holding her head down.

"Shit...  I only have 20 bucks." Eric groaned.

"But Eric that's enough-" I tried to reason with him, but I guess it was his time of the month.

"Shut up Alice! I know I can't do Math!!" He moaned again covering his face in a dramatic effect.

"But dude, you got 100% on our last Math test." Brandon rolled his eyes chuckling.

"Why are you guys pressuring me?!? I can't focus with all this pressure!!" Eric yelled in a high pitch voice and then he stormed off leaving me baffled and the twins laughing. Turning around to face the twins expecting them to step forward and be men to order the food but they both shrugged and left me standing in front of angry people in cars.

Please don't let them run me over. I sent a silent prayer up. Taking a deep breath I gave Melany a tight smile and ran off. When I met back up with the boys at the car I was angry at all of them. Eric was sitting on the hood of the car while the twins were leaning against it and joking around about sending the video to everyone. Staying silent, Eric took notice and tried to poke me but I slapped his hand away and shook my head. Sighing, he got off the hood of the car and left me with the twins as they continued to crack lame jokes. Taking his place, I leaned back and started to watch the clouds because it was truly a beautiful morning. When he came back he had two breakfast meals from McDonald's.

"Is that for me?" Brandon's voice was a few octaves higher as he tried to pull off a girls voice.

"Hell no, I don't buy food for boys," Eric's replies came back as he came and sat with me on the hood of the car.

"I owe you breakfast." He smiles handing me one of the bags.

"Hell yeah you do." Grabbing it, I started to munch on hash brown and drink the coffee. Smiling, I leaned over and kissed his cheek. "But I forgive you now." Pumping his fast in the air, he chuckled then took his seat beside me.

"If you guys are planning to buy breakfast I suggest you do it now because once Alice is finished I'm leaving." Realizing that Eric was being serious they ran off to McDonald's. While they were gone Eric and I just sat in silence, enjoying each others company without talking when all of a sudden he reached across and pulled me into a kiss. My hands stayed awkwardly at my side until I wrapped them around his neck pulling him closer. One arm went to my lower back as the other stayed on my cheek. Finally pulling apart to take a breath, he looked at my flushed face and smiled, "I like you Alice. I like you a lot..."

Opening my mouth to say something, I was cut short when there was whooping sounds coming from the twins who had returned and saw what just happened.

"Go Eric, get dem lips." Brandon puckered his lips and started making kissing noises while Bradley laughed then said, "Seeing them together makes me feel lonely." From saying that Brandon sobered up and looked at his brother, "Way to kill the mood jerk."

Not sure what else I was to do, I laughed while sneaking a glance at Eric who looked deep in thought about something. Suddenly his eyes focused on me and he gave a half smile before giving me another peck then slid of the car and went inside beckoning me to come with him. So I did.

"Are you okay?" I ask as soon I closed the door. He was already watching me with an unreadable expression. "Do you like me?"

Almost choking on my saliva, I turned to him biwildered. "What?"

"Alice do you like me?" He asked again this time more serious. Smiling, I nod feeling my cheek warm. "Yes. Obviously I do, how can you even ask that?"

"Because I practically forced you into this fake relationship, and I don't want that.. I like you a lot, that's why I chose you. Although you shy away from everything and everyone, there's something inside of you who is just filled with love for humanity and this world even though it's a messed up place and we're all disgusting people." And there it is guys, ERIC FREAKING SMITH making me feel all these stomach twisting emotions. "You cant hide from me Alice, you never could. I see you.." Tears were pooling in my eyes as he leaned across and strted to kiss them away. 

"I thought no one.." I couldn't finish because it was stuck in my throat, all the crap I've been putting up with all this treatment. I thought no one could see me drown in this sea of people. I was screaming for help as they stood by and watched me drown. "I see you babe, don't worry anywmore. I have you." Somewhere along the way, We ended up around the backseat and I was sitting in his lap as he held me until I fell asleep.
