Midoriya was beyond terrified. When he had woken up, there was something horribly wrong. In his bed, right next to his back, there was a huge scorpion's tail. However, when he practically fell out of his bed due to suprise, he realized that it was attached to his lower back!

That was definitly not normal. Sure, he lived in a world where everyone had super powers, but he was supposed to be quirkless!! And mutation quirks typically appeared when someone was born. So this situation was weird, even if he was just a late bloomer, which could easily be possible. He did have the capacity to develop a quirk, after all.

Really, you couldn't blame him from being terrified.

Luckily, his mother, Inko, heard the crash from him falling out of his bed, and ran over to his room in an instant. Opening the door, she saw Midoriya, curled up on the floor, shaking with tears in his eyes, and trying to keep the stinger as far away from the rest of his body as possible. The tail was at least 3 feet long, over half of Midoriya's height.

The second the door opened, Midoriya's head snapped up too look at his mom. "Izuku, sweetie! Are you okay? Did something happen?" Inko asked, rushing over to comfort him. He nodded slowly, and whispered "I'm scared, Mom...."

Inko hugged him, and he melted into the hug.

After that, his body only continued to change. Over the week, his nails had become retractable claws, his teeth became signifigantly sharper, and his ears had become pointed. It was then that Inko decided they should go to the docter to see what was happening to her son.

That had ended up pointless. All they were currently able to see was that his body was rearanging itself, and there was nothing they could do to stop or reverse it.

(They also found out that Midoriya's stinger was that of a deathstalker scorpion)

It had nothing to do with his quirk, either. His quirk factor was still inactive.

Another week, his face became dragon-like, ankles raised up so that he was a digitigrade, and his feet gained a paw-like shape with three toes, complete with padding on each toe. His eyes were still located at the front of his face, in case you were wondering.

After a third week, he had a large set of darkly colored antlers with a trail of small horns behind them, and his torso had become longer and more flexible. That increased his height to 6'2. He had grown two sets of wings, a larger, dragon like set coming from his shoulder blades, and a smaller, fin like set near his mid-torso. His body was covered in short, light gray, almost white fur.

By the end of the month, Midoriya was barely recognizable, only his green hair and eyes remaining of his old body. He looked like some sort of monster.

Inko didn't see it as that. Sure, the sudden mutations were a bit.. odd, but that didn't make him a monster!

She had noticed that he seemed to have an increased appitite, as she had once found him raiding the kitchen at 3 am. Wrappers and boxes were scattered all across the floor. He had appolgized over and over for making a big mess, while Inko reassured him that it was fine.

His body had stopped morphing after that, at least.

Problem was, summer break was almost over, and Midoriya was horrified.

Everyone at school were already mean to him, and his new monster body wouldn't help that. Maybe Inko didn't think he was a monster, but Bakugou definitely would.

And not to mention all of his other classmates! It's not like he could hide his mutations, either. His entire body was different from before!!

He dragged his hands down his face, groaning in frustration.

Midoriya did not want to go to school. However, he didn't really have a choice in the matter. Inko would homeschool him, but she had to work in order to take care of both of them.

Ever since that doctor's appointment, he hadn't gone out in public whatsoever. He was terrified of how people would react to him.

Sure, he knew that plenty of people had mutations like his, and they were fine, but he couldn't help but be nervous. After all, he barely even seemed human!

He stretched his wings out behind him, before folding them back up again. He was still getting used to the structure of his new body, as well as his new limbs. Hopefully, he'd adapt to it before school started up again.

Although, strangely enough, he felt more... like himself, with this new form. It was a strange feeling, but now that he had mutated, he felt as if before, he was completely restrained. Not that he minded, the feeling seemed to be positive.

Midoriya walked to school, wearing his new uniform. It had been adapted to fit his newly mutated body. He didn't have any shoes on, but he was fine with that. He didn't really want to try to shove his hind paws into shoes made for human feet.

Surprisingly to him, no one really seemed bothered by his mutations. That was good. Maybe if he told his classmates that this was a quirk, they would be nice to him!

His stinger wagged behind him at the thought, as if it were a dog's tail.

Some people moved away from it, as to avoid being stung by the appendage. Of course, Midoriya wouldn't ever actually sting anyone, even if they were a villain. He didn't want to hurt anyone like that!!

Eventually, he made his way to the school. Everyone stared at him, whispers wondering who he was echoing about. He smiled at them, an attempt to show that he was friendly. They really didn't recognize him...

He opened the door to his classroom, and was once again met by stares. "I didn't know there was a new kid..." said one.

"Uhm... actually, I'm not new.." Midoriya said. Most of them seemed to recognize his voice, as multiple people said "Deku? What happened to you?" or something similar.

Midoriya gave a toothy grin, revealing his sharp teeth. "My quirk just developed late, that's all."
