Ever since that night, Midoriya had continued to have dreams of a similar sort. In all of them, he felt feral too an extent, even if he wasn't in a feral state when he went to bed. He always had those same, tattered shorts, and nothing else.

It was starting to confuse Midoriya. Usually, he didn't remember his dreams very well. And when he did remember, he didn't remember that much. But with these dreams, he remembered almost everything that happened. He remembered how he acted so similar to a wild animal, how he would prey on anything that he could kill in those dreams. It was strange, honestly. Plus, why were they all so very similar too each other?

So, he did research.

He looked up whatever he could think of, from dream meanings, to quirks that had effects on dreams, but he found nothing. Maybe he just didn't know what he was supposed to be looking for? That would make sense.

At some point, he ended up on an article on theories about different dimensions and the mulitverse, which had nothing to do with what he was looking for, so he promptly closed out of the site.

Midoriya paced around the apartment, an antsy expression on his face. His nerves had reduced him to a wild mess, leaving him in a semi-feral state once more.

It was the day that the letter from UA would be arriving, and he was terrified. What if he didn't get enough points? What if he failed the written exams? What if they decided he was too feral too become a hero? What if-

The door burst open, causing for Midoriya to jump up with an animalistic yelp, trembling at the sudden noise.

Inko stood in the doorway, holding a letter in her hands. Midoriya instantly relaxed, seeing that it was just his mom.

"Izuku, your letter, it's here!!" Inko said, and Midoriya gave a small yip in response, nodding. She gave him the letter, and ruffled his hair gently.

"Are you nervous?" Ah, she had probably noticed that he was semi-feral again. He nodded again, looking away sheepishly.

"Do you want me to watch it with you?" She asked, smiling softly, and he paused, considering it. If he had done bad on it, and was rejected, he probably would cry. If he did well, and got into the hero course, he'd still cry, but they would be happy tears.

Either way he would cry. Did he really want to cry over his results in front of his mom?

Yeah, of course he did. She wasn't going to judge him for it, they were both big time criers anyway.

If he passed, then they could celebrate together, and if he failed, his mom would be there to comfort him. There really was no reason why he wouldn't want her too watch it with him.

He gave an affirmative chirp, along with a nod.

Inko smiled at him, "Alright sweetie."

They sat down on the couch, Inko to his left. He fumbled with the strangely heavy envelope only a moment before he unsheathed his claws and tore it open. A strange disk came tumbling out, landing on the table.

He tilted his head and gave a curious chirp, a sentiment which Inko seemed to share based on how she stared at it, wide-eyed.

Midoriya narrowed his eyes, and attempted to say, "There's a button on it", but all that came out was a series of chirps and clicks that Inko couldn't understand.

He retracted his claws once again, and leaned forward, pressing the button on the center.

As soon as he did, a hologram appeared, shouting "I AM HERE!!!", which caused Midoriya to jump back with a startled bark.

Inko moved to stroke his arm, and he responded with a content clicking noise, which was drowned out by All Might's voice, "-To give you the test results!!"

"I must say, young Midoriya, I am impressed! On the written test, you got top grades!!"

It wasn't surprising that he got a high score on the written exam, but hearing praise from the number one hero himself was- exhilirating, really. His scorpion tail thumped with delight, to which Inko chuckled a bit.

"As for the praticals, you got 31 villain points!! Not too bad, but not enough to pass."

And there it was.

His tail froze mid-air, and he looked down at his lap, ashamed of himself for not doing well enough. Inko rubbed his arm comfortingly, but it didn't change-

"However!!!"

His head shot upwards, a confused chirp escaping him.

"Did you really think that villain points were the only way to pass the practicals?"

Um... yes? That's what Present Mic told us...

"Of course not!! There's far more to heroics than just beating up bad guys!! That's why we also had rescue points!! Young Midoriya, for your brave actions in saving young Uraraka from the zero pointer, you were awarded with 40 rescue points!! Giving you a total of 71 points!!"

"Congratulations, young man, and welcome to your hero academy"

That night was spent in happy tears, cheering, and celebration.
