Hate speech

In my previous chapter I talked about freedom, specifically freedom of speech and the fact that all rights cake from that. You take out free speech the rest will soon follow.

But, I'm going to talk about hate speech. I live in the U.K. where there are now hate speech laws. My problem isn't that speech can't be hateful and hurtful, it obviously can. But my main problem with hate speech laws is, what is hate speech specifically.

The problem is, what people consider hateful is a subjective term (depends on the individual) I could find cats hateful. The reason this is so important is not ,because hateful speech doesn't exist, but is instead who defined and defines what is hateful. Hateful is a much too umbrella undefined term. And I don't trust a politician to say what can and cannot be said.
If you want to compromise maybe specific words of phrases in a specific circumstance, because the term hate speech is just waiting to be abused for political and social gain.
And is just giving the government one brick to create the path that ends in tyranny.

Maybe not now but it will happen if the governments power is not checked. And giving the government the power to decide what can or cannot be said.

Say in a couple of years a legitimately  authoritarian government was 'elected' in, and then they used hate speech laws to decide that any speech counter to theirs must be stopped. Do you see, how a undefined umbrella term eventually, will and has been used.

Anyway the way to stop hateful speech is not less speech, but more speech. The market place of ideas will drown out hate. And pushing people into corners, because these kind of policies, where all they are left to listen too is race supremacy or the new horrid critical race theory lunacy (which is white supremacy). Will only radicalise people and cause more chaos.

The cure isn't less speech, ITS MORE!!!!!

I would like to make clear that violent, racist or sexist speech is evil. But should a official government with ulterior motives decide what you can or cannot say.

Say in a could of years a true nazi government got into power, and say they used that power that we gave them. To shut up any speech they didn't like.
If we keep going on that road, that day will come.
