Disappearance [KilluGon]

Chapter 2

Gon's p.o.v

I can see the hurt in Killua's eyes as he looks at me and back at Retz. He takes a few steps back and looks like he's about to leave.

I instantly get off Retz and quickly stumble over to him. "K..killua..i..."

"Just stop. I'm not gonna get in the way any more. You obviously won't believe me so what's the point in trying" He then turns around and slams the door in my face. I can hear footsteps going down the stairs in the distance.

I have my head faced down. "Shit..." I mumble.

Retz has a surprised look on her face as she isn't used to me cussing. "Just leave him be. He's obviously just jealous us of you." Retz snickered.

"I'm going after him..."

"What? You cant. Your staying here with me."

I turn around and look back at her. "He's my best friend...and I said some things that I shouldn't have to him. I need to apologize."

"So your picking him over me!?"

"That's not what I'm doing. I...I don't have time for this right now. I'm leaving...sorry." I say before quickly opening the door and running out of the house to look for Killua. I hear Retz telling something but ignore it.

I sprint around the neighborhood frantically looking for Killua. I look for him for about 30 minutes before I spot him walking on the sidewalk next to a small park.

I start running over to him and call out his name. "KILLUA!!!"

He turns his head but when he sees, me he dashes off. What the-?!

I continue to run after him but it doesn't look like he intends to slow down.

"Killua stop! Please!"

There's no answer.

I eventually catch up to him and the moment I get close enough, I reach out and grab his arm, pulling him back.

He still won't turn around to look at me. "Killua..I know you probably don't want to talk to me right now but...I know I've acted like an idiot today. And I realise that if you didn't care then you wouldn't even bother with me. I'm sorry.........but...I thought about this and I want to know how you know that Retz is cheating on me. I just...I really like her...so if that's true then...it would be really difficult to process."

He slowly turns around to look at me. His eyes look a little puffy. He was crying....

The look on his face makes my heart throb.

"I...I saw it happen. It was with some older guy who apparently she had been seeing for a little bit now. She told me that if you found out...then she'd ruin you. I wanted to tell you sooner but I didn't want to see you hurt.." Killua stutters as he speaks.

I advert my eyes away from him. I feel awful right now. This whole time he's only been protecting me and I've treated him like crap.

Before any other words are spoken I pull him closer to me and hug him. He looks surprised at first but then wraps his arms around me. We stand like that for awhile until he slowly pulls away. I smile slightly at him. "I'll break up with her.."

He lifts his head up quickly. "You believe me?"

I nod. "I'm sorry I didn't believe you at first. I think I was just in denial. I didn't want to believe it." I say this with a hint of sadness in my voice.

"Can you come with me when I do?"

Killua laughs quietly. "Yes yea I'll come." He blushes as he says this.
