Deadly Skies

Chapter 1

"Jake would you please follow me to my office." I heard the professor say
I nodded and followed him
"Take a seat" he said smiling
I sat down where he wanted me to.

"So.." He started
"I know you haven't been here for such a long time and you're not really big on this kind of situation and you're knew" he said and took a break for a few seconds
"But, we have someone that you can help. Her name is Caroline.. And we really need you to watch her 24\7."

"Why?"

"Jake.. She's tried committing suicide 4 times."

"Oh wow.." As I said that a nurse walked in.

"Well tell me about her..?"

"We don't know mu-" as my professor got cut off by the nurse

"She really like Swedish fish. I'm positive. She usually asks for some. But she doesn't talk much"

"Oh then I'll get her some. When will I be seeing her?"

"She's getting out of the hospital tomorrow so most likely tomorrow."
I was thinking the hospital? Why? Did she try to commit suicide not that while ago?
"Okay.."

"Yes. Jake why don't you go home and get some rest. We will call you in the morning."

I nodded and got up and walked out of the office.

Everyone was staring at me and whispering
"He got Caroline? Like he can make her feel better"
"He can't do shit"
"He's knew he doesn't deserve her"
I tried ignoring them and I walked to my car.

I finally got home. I took off my shoes as I entered my small apartment. Two bedrooms a bathroom and a kitchen and living room.
"Home sweet home" I said

9:30 am
;;ring ring;;; ;;ring ring;;
I heard the phone ring I got up and pulled it to my ear
"Hello?" I said
"Yes hello jake. It's Mr. Hyde (professor) do you think you can come in now"

"Yes. I'll be on my way." Then I hung up

10 minutes later I got there

I walked inside and saw Mr. Hyde talking to the nurse.
"Ah, jake come here" I heard him say

I walked over and saw a girl
She had blonde hair a lip piercing soft pale skin. She looked sick though. I couldn't tell what eye color she had because her hair was in her eyes.
"This is Caroline"
He said
"Hi Caroline, I'm jake." I said
She ignored me
"Alright, well here is her information" he handed me a book
"Come on Caroline" I said and walked out the door and she was following me

Once we got to my car I opened the door for her and then I went to my side and turned on the car and drove off.
"So, Caroline.. Tell me a little about you?"
She completely ignored me and was looking outside the window.
I sighed.

I thought this was gonna be easier, but I guess not.
