All he had been doing was taking a piss in the boy's bathroom. How could things have gone so wrong so quickly? As soon as Jason had gone to leave the bathroom stall he saw his bully's shoes underneath the door. Gregory Dillinger. God he was an asshole. It almost seemed like he lived to make Jason's life a living hell.
He didn't have a crowd he hung out with. He just loned and watched for any self hating lower classman he could pick on. He had a girlfriend but he cheated on her and she left. That might be why he's been so angry lately. Horny dick with no outlet. Instead of apologizing to his ex here he was ready to make Jason's day suck balls.
"I know you're here, Heere. Ya know someone's been goin around saying you got the hots for me? I gotta say, I'm flattered. But I'm still gonna have to kick your pixie ass." It felt as if Jason could feel Greg's eyes through the permanent marker covered faded red stall doors. He didn't have much time to think about an escape. He didn't even know why someone spreading a rumor about them would make Greg wanna hurt him. It's not like he started it. It was probably Maria Rolan or some lonely weeb chick that ships toxic guys from animes just because it would make it a gay relationship.
He waited for a solid two minutes before slipping under the stall door and running like hell out the bathroom door. Gregory following behind him. They ran after each other until Jason spotted the auditorium and ran in. Fuck, why did it have to be Greg. He went backstage where he knew there was a supply closet and locked himself inside. He could hear Greg looking and yelling for him. Haha dumbass isn't in drama or theatre.
Jason waited it out until Gregory had left. But in the meantime he had turned the light on in the closet and started looking around. Just mops and brooms and disinfectant. But then something caught his eye. A small grey oblong pill sitting on a shelf. The light reflected it just perfectly where it had shone in his eye. He picked the small pill up and placed it in the pocket of his jeans before walking out of the closet and going on with his day.
Around the start of lunch, Jason had caught up with his best friend of 16 years, Annabelle Mell. Annie for short. The two had been friends since diapers due to their dads knowing being close. Annie was much shorter than Jason, keeping her curly dark brown hair in a ponytail with a green scrunchie. Annie was a surrogate child. Meaning her dads got some lady to carry her for them using her dad Michael's sperm. Which resulted in her looking a lot like Michael.
Annie sat down next to Jason at lunch, pulling her earbuds out and stuffing them into her pockets. "Hey, heard you got your ass kicked. You look like hell." She laughed, leaning her elbow on the table and smiling at her friend. "I did not get my ass kicked, I hid until Greg ran away. I hid from an ass kicking." Jason responded, smiling back. "Well Gregory is telling everyone that he beat you so badly that you lost a tooth."
"Oh that is such bullshit, fucking liar. Hey, you wanna come over to my house tomorrow to play Nintendo? My dad finally got me the new animal crossing if you wanna bring your switch and come to my island." Jason sounded excited, he loved the nice soothing Nintendo switch games. They helped him forget about his parents and Greg and everything else. "Hell yeah, papa let me buy.... so now my......" Annie's voice drowned out as Jason had stopped paying attention to her and more to Maxine Dillinger. Gregory's twin sister. To tell you the full truth, Jason had a huge thing for Maxine. She was smart and pretty and her hair always curled up under and made her look kinda like a human Minnie mouse. It fucking stunned him that she was even related to her jackass brother.
She always sat with him, and she looked so happy. It was one of the only times people ever saw Gregory smile. He may be a complete douchebag but he really loves his sister. So much that she's never had a romantic partner due to him being so overprotective.
"Hello? Earth to Jason?" Oh yeah, Annie. "Jesus you need to just ask her out already." Jason just stared at Maxine talking to her brother and continued to talk to Annie. "And give Greg an even bigger reason to hate me? No fuckin thanks."
The day went on, Annie left in her car and Jason wished her some good luck since she was spending the night at her grandparents' place to spend more time with them. And then Jason walked home, walking with his headphones on as he unlocked the door and walked inside.
"MOM? DAD? I'M HOME!" He yelled as he walked into the living room to see his dad. Sitting on the couch. Not wearing any pants. God fuckin dammit-
