As Psyche woke up from the fall, she groaned and slowly got up, with her eyes adjusted to the state of her room. More specifically, the room she shares with her brothers. The entire place was lit up by the window in front of her, with one regular wooden bed with blue covers at her back, and one pair of steel bunk beds on her left with yellow covers. The walls were painted beige with white lining so the room could be illuminated easily. Inside the bunk bed covers were two of her brothers: Egan and Agot. The sun shined on Psyche's eyes, making her turn away from the glare. She saw the state of the room: neat but also has that smell of overworked CPUs, which is just plastic if anyone just decided to slow cook it in an open fire. She heard her mother yelling from downstairs.
"Psyche!! Get up!! You're gonna be late for your first day at school!! You still have to pack remember??!!!" She shouted, her voice being muffled by the door.
Psyche stuck a pair of earbuds on both her brothers and played Down with the Sickness by Disturbed on her phone. Needless to say, once the 10-second intro stopped, both of them shot up from their beds and started screaming, trying to cover their ears from the loud rock music, which really didn't help. She then paused the music and gave them a warm smile.
The two brothers remove the earbuds and toss them aside before trying to clean their ears with their pinky fingers.
"Egan! Agot! Breakfast is ready!" She said as she walked out of the room and down the stairs. But before she did, she poked her head out from the stairs. "Mom made pancakes!"
Suddenly, they rose from their beds like Dracula from the crypt, and started barreling towards the door, trying to squeeze themselves in.
Sporting the usual fuzzy light blue pajama pants and sweatshirt, Egan was no taller than 4 feet. He had curly black hair and a pretty scrawny, rectangle-like torso, which does not go well with his stick-like arms and legs. His face was a bit chubby, with baby fat, his eyes being of a dark brown color, his skin, a chocolate milk brown, and his two front teeth were missing from the row of light-yellowish teeth shown as he yawned while scratching his chest.
Agot was the wide one. Not tall, wide. He was around 5 feet and 5 inches and probably weighed about 200 pounds or more, which was surprising on how his black Xbox t-shirt and blue PJ pants held up. The t-shirt was practically begging for mercy. He didn't have six-packs, but he had an entire keg of a stomach, which went with his meaty arms and legs, but not with his smaller, childlike head. His face was pudgy like his cheeks were storing a cookie he just ate. His eyes were a warm shade of brown, with a caramel-ish complexion, and a straight, jet black, crop top fade cut.
The two of them eventually fell down the stairs while rushing in, tangling each other up in the process as they both struggled on the ground to get up.
The living room was quite spacious, which was separated from the kitchen and the dining room by a wall that had a door-shaped hole on it. Otherwise, the place was pretty neat and orderly: ocean blue walls, ceramic white tile floors, and two small raindrop-style chandeliers to illuminate the rooms with a sparkly white light that would've been considered as a disco ball if the light rays weren't so big like spotlights. In the dining room were four wooden chairs on the left, surrounding a large, light brown, Lazy Susan turntable, with four white ceramic plates, complete with pairs of spoons and forks.
Once Psyche, Egan, and Agot gathered around the table, Ms. Bellitudo came out of the kitchen with a plate of steaming hot pancakes and two syrups: chocolate and maple. As soon as she placed the food at the center of the table, the boys smelled the aroma of cooked dough wafting through the room. Egan's eyes widened in glee as his pupils dilated, focusing on the doughy breakfast.
